Hi, my name is Elaine and I'm a teacher in Grade Six. I'm, going to talk a{#blank#}1{#/blank#}some activities of the Open Day of our school. The Open Day will be on the f{#blank#}2{#/blank#} day of the school. The students don't know each other because they are n{#blank#}3{#/blank#}here. First, I will ask them to talk about their names, their hobbies and so on. They will be very happy to share that. Next, they will draw a picture of the teachers.  Some of the pictures will be very f{#blank#}4{#/blank#}. Then, they will play games together. The name of the game is to find friends. They can stand up and m{#blank#}5{#/blank#} around to ask others some questions. They will like it because they can know more about their classmates. The parents can also have a talk with each o{#blank#}6{#/blank#}. These are very interesting activities for the kids and it just makes them f{#blank#}7{#/blank#}welcome.

Long March(长征) exhibition

The Shanghai History Museum is putting on an exhibition to remember the Long March which took place over 70 years ago. More than 220 photos and 40 other things are on show. All the exhibition is explained in Chinese. The show will end on November 20.

Thai elephants

Eight elephants from Thailand are an attraction for visitors at Changfeng Park by riding bikes, playing basketball, dancing and blowing a musical instrument. The elephants give three shows a day at 9:30 am, 3:30 pm and 8:00 pm and there is an extra show at 1:30 pm at weekends. The show will end on November 15.

Dancing dolphins

Dolphins jumping from the water to touch a ball, dancing to music, kissing people and doing easy maths problems, and seals and sea lions, also performing, have made a large part of the aquarium(水族馆) in Peace Park, which interests children greatly.

Hours: 10:30 am, 4:00 pm, and 7:30 pm

Ticket: 20 yuan for adults and 10 yuan for children

The next day, Peter came, feeling very angry at the changes. Heidi was always busy with the strange new child. All summer long Heidi hadn't played with him. And today she was coming at last. But again, she would come with this stranger.

Then, Peter saw the wheelchair. He carefully looked around. Then he pushed it down the mountain. He felt a little worried and afraid so he ran away and hid himself in a bush.

Just then, Heidi came out of the house. Her grandfather and Clara came next. Not seeing the wheelchair, Heidi's grandfather decided to carry Clara to the top. As he was getting ready, he wondered why Peter was late.

To their surprise, when they arrived at the top, they saw Peter lying on the ground.

Grandfather put Clara down on the grassland and then went home. The three stayed there. Heidi remembered the place with many flowers. She wanted to take Clara there. She called Peter to help. Peter went to Clara unwillingly. Heidi asked him to help raise Clara from the ground on one side. Heidi helped on the other.

With the encouragement of Heidi, Clara tried a step and soon another. "Oh, Heidi,I can do it! Oh, I really can! Just look! I can take steps!" she said happily.

Heidi cried happily, "Oh, Clara, can you really? Can you walk? Now you can walk, Clara,"

Peter arrived home late that day. He saw many people talking around the wheelchair. What if they found out the truth? A policeman might arrive. They might take him away to prison. Peter's hair stood on end at this thought.

The next morning, Peter admitted his mistake. Clara's family forgave him. What Peter had done turned out to be the greatest good for Clara.

When I was 16 years old, I made my first visit to the US. It wasn't the first time I had been 1 . Like most English children, I learnt French 2  school and I had often been to France. So I was used to speaking a foreign language to people who didn't understand 3 . When I went to America, I was really looking forward to 4  a nice and easy holiday. I hoped there were not any 5  problems. How 6 . I was! The misunderstanding began at the airport. I was 7  a public telephone to give my American friend Daisy a call and tell her that I had arrived. A friendly old man saw me looking like being lost and asked 8  he could help me or not. "Yes, "I said. "I want to give my friend a ring. ""Well, that's 9 . " he said. " Are you getting married? But aren't you a little bit too 10 ?"" Who is talking about marriage?"I replied. "I 11  want to give my friend a ring to tell her I've arrived. Can you tell me 12  the phone box is?""Oh!" he said, "there is a phone downstairs. "

When at last Daisy and I did meet up, Daisy explained the misunderstanding to me. "Don't worry, " she said to me. "I had so many 13  like this at first. There are lots of words that the Americans 14  differently in meaning from us British. You'll soon get used to all the funny things they say. But most of the 15 , British and American people understand each other. "

This is Mike's room.  You can see a desk and a bed in the room. On the desk, there is a schoolbag and three books. One is a Chinese book，and the other two（另外两本）are English books. There is a clock on the desk，too. You can see a baseball under the desk.  On the bed，there is a box. What's in the box？ Oh, it's a new computer game. It's the present（礼物） for Mike.  It is Mike's birthday today.
