There are many beautiful bridges in the world. Two of them are more than 1, 000 years old and you really should try {#blank#}1{#/blank#} (visit)! 

The first one is the Zhaozhou Bridge in China. It is famous for its design and shape. It is {#blank#}2{#/blank#} (special) and cleverly designed. The bridge is 50 meters long and 10 meters high with 28 arches. There are no nails (钉子) {#blank#}3{#/blank#} cement (水泥) in the bridge, only stones. The stones have different shapes and sizes {#blank#}4{#/blank#} they fit together perfectly. So far, it {#blank#}5{#/blank#} (experience) many natural disasters, such as floods and earthquakes throughout history, but it is still there. Its shape is {#blank#}6{#/blank#}a smile which means good luck. 

The {#blank#}7{#/blank#} (two) one is the Arkadiko Bridge in Greece. It is about 22 meters long and 5 meters wide. This bridge seems much {#blank#}8{#/blank#} (small). It is less wide for more people {#blank#}9{#/blank#} (walk) on it, however, it was the only way people could cross the river in the past. 

Every year, many {#blank#}10{#/blank#} (tour) visit the two bridges and take photos. These two bridges are not only important parts of the World Cultural Heritage but also symbols of human wisdom and creativity.

People, especially children, like to go to Disneyland Park. There are six Disneyland Parks in the world.

 Before the 1930s, shopping carts(购物车) were not needed by people. Almost every family didn't have fridges, so people bought a day's food at a time. They had to do shopping at different stores, such as fish shops, vegetable shops and meat shops. The rise of supermarkets changed that.

Sylcan Goldman, who owned many supermarkets in Oklahoma City, noticed that when customers in his stores used handheld baskets, they often stopped shopping when the baskets became too full or too heavy. He told his staff to walk up to people whose baskets were full and offer them another basket. It didn't work, so Goldman searched for something better.

One evening in 1936,a good idea came as Goldman worked late in his office. He looked at a folding chair and had the idea of replacing the seat with two shelves(掷架)—— one higher and one lower than the seat's usual position— and adding wheels to the legs. The shelves would hold shopping baskets, which could be taken off when not in use.

After several tries, Goldman built some carts and introduced them in his stores in the following summer. However, they were not popular with customers. Most housewives said they didn't need a cart because they already had a baby carriage (婴儿推车).

 Goldman didn't give up. He made people of all ages act as customers and use the carts. This way worked, and customers began to give them a try. Within a few years, shopping carts were everywhere. They were quite similar to the shopping carts used in the supermarkets nowadays.

 More biking, better public transport and odd-even bans on vehicles(车辆单双号限行)— many cities are using different ways to {#blank#}1{#/blank#}(减少) traffic pollution.

 Paris doesn't allow cars in many historic {#blank#}2{#/blank#} (中心的) places at weekends, carries out odd-even bans on vehicles, and makes public transport free w {#blank#}3{#/blank#} there are serious pollution events.

 Freiburg, Germany has 500 km of bike routes(路线) and a cheap and convenient public transport system. One town, Vauban, does not allow people to park cars near t{#blank#}8{#/blank#} homes and makes car owners pay €18,000 for a special space near the town. In return for living without a car, the government offers people cheaper {#blank#}9{#/blank#} (房子) to live, free public transport, and many bicycle spaces.
