The Americans were getting ready to send their first man to the moon, an old Irishman (爱尔兰人) was 1 them on TV in a hotel room. There was an Englishman in the room 2. And he said to the Irishman, “The Americans are very 3, aren't they? They are going to send some men to the moon.     The Irishman laughed and answered, “Well, the Irish are clever, too, you know. We 10 go to the sun during the day, of course. We'll go there during the night.”

    Lucy was a single mother. She lived with her little son. She lost her 1 two years ago and they had a very hard life. Being 2 was terrible. Her heart, was broken every time her son asked, "Can I have some more 3 please, Mom?"

    One day, when her son asked the same question again, she decided to prepare a big meal for him4 the only 6 dollars in her hand. She went to the supermarket,5 some food and cooked at home. Lucy was ashy mother,6she was strong-minded. "It's time to make a change," she thought. She once loved writing. To make some money, she 7 to write for magazines day and night.

    Things went 8. The local food bank started to provide Lucy with some free vegetables every month. Her son 9 had enough food to eat. Once he told Lucy that the dishes she made were 10. We usually have three meals a day——breakfast, lunch and dinner. Different people have different food for breakfast. Some children tell us about their breakfast food. 

Simon is an American boy. He usually eats cakes and drinks milk with sugar (糖) for breakfast. He loves sugar. He is short. He doesn't like to drink juice for breakfast.

Jack is from the UK. He usually has bread and a glass of juice for breakfast. His favorite is apple juice, but his family like orange juice. They usually have eggs and hamburgers. 

Lucy is a Chinese girl. She usually has soup (汤) and baozi with meat for breakfast. She doesn't have bread and cakes for breakfast.

 Our school is very big. There are two classroom buildings and {#blank#}1{#/blank#} office building. In front of the office building, you can see a {#blank#}2{#/blank#} garden. There are many {#blank#}3{#/blank#} and some grass. Look at that building. It {#blank#}4{#/blank#} like a book. That is the library. There are lots of books in the library {#blank#}5{#/blank#} we can read books there. We like {#blank#}6{#/blank#} sports on the playground. There are 45 students in my class. Mr Green is {#blank#}7{#/blank#} English teacher. He comes{#blank#}8{#/blank#} London. He likes China and always learns about {#blank#}9{#/blank#} history and culture(文化). We {#blank#}10{#/blank#} like him very much.
