My father is tall and has short gray hair. He wears glasses with heavy black frames(框架). Today I find a picture of him in 1968. What a surprise! In the picture, he's 15 years old. He's short and he has glasses with small round frames. He has long black hair and it's really straight. He's wearing blue jeans and a T shirt with the word "Love". I'm 15 years old now. I'm of medium height and I have short hair. My hair isn't black, but it's brown. My dad thinks it's strange, but my friends think it's great. I wear glasses, but my glasses have square(方的) red frames. They are so cool. I never wear blue jeans. I like big and baggy pants and long T shirts. Most of my T shirts have pictures of my favorite actors or singers on them.

The morning of December 26th was warm and sunny on Phi Phi Don Island (岛) in Thailand. The sunshine was a welcome change from the wet, rainy weather at home. After breakfast, we went to the beach. My parents played volleyball and I ran straight into the clear water. I had great fun. 

Suddenly, I heard a roar (咆哮). Then I saw a big wave (海浪). "Mark，run!" I heard my mom shout before the big wave came to me. In no time I was under the water. I tried to get out of the water, but I couldn't. Luckily, a hand pulled (拉) me up. I breathed and looked around. I was in a tree with a Thai man. 

I was shocked and was not able to move. The only thing I could do was sit and watch. The hours passed slowly. Suddenly，both the Thai man and I saw a plane and we started shouting. The pilot saw us and came to save us. Half an hour later we were in the hills. A lot of people were there. I felt lonely and lost. Just then, my mom ran to me and said, "Mark, you're here." I was relieved (放心的) at that time. 

Two days later we left the island. We felt lucky to be alive (活着), but we were sorry for the people there who lost their homes. 

You can see many different kinds of food with different colors in life. Doctors and your parents always ask you to eat lots of green vegetables, because they are healthy for you. It's also good for you to have food of other colors. For example, you can have red food like tomatoes, yellow food like bananas and orange food like carrots. 

But what about blue food? 

A food company (公司) did a test. It put the color blue to its candies. Children like the color blue a lot, so would they like the blue candies? The test found that children didn't like them at all. They still liked red, green, brown, yellow and orange candies. 

How many blue fruits, or vegetables do you know? You can see little blue food in your life. People may think blue is not a food color and it's not safe or healthy to eat the food that is blue. This is why people don't often use blue for drinks, cakes and other food. 

Do you like traveling? You can see many different landscapes(风景)along the way. Sometimes, the landscapes is so {#blank#}1{#/blank#} （绝妙的）that you'd like to bring it home.

 Suffering(受苦) from ALS (渐冻症) for 30 years, Jiang has never lost his love for life. Besides, he taught {#blank#}1{#/blank#}( many) than 200 children for free for over twenty years. 

 At the age of 16, Jiang Bing {#blank#}2{#/blank#}( fall) to the ground on the way to school and was unable to stand up again. One doctor told him that he had an illness that was hard to cure(治愈) and suggested {#blank#}3{#/blank#}( he) give up searching for treatment. He was {#blank#}4{#/blank#} great pain, but Jiang didn't lose hope and still kept studying every morning, spending one day like it was a month. 

 Though Jiang couldn't enter {#blank#}5{#/blank#} university himself because of the disease, he offered {#blank#}6{#/blank#}( teach) his younger sister and help her go to university in 1994. Not until then did the people living in the community realize that the special man could teach their children. 

{#blank#}7{#/blank#} they asked him for help. The next year, Jiang started helping children with their studies {#blank#}8{#/blank#}( careful). Apart from the school subjects, he also taught them art and clay sculpture(泥塑). He once taught 24 children in one single class, all for free. 

 Today many of the children that he taught graduated from university. They all think him one of {#blank#}9{#/blank#}( excellent) teachers. Zhao Feiyu, a student who once received Jiang's help, runs an art {#blank#}10{#/blank#}( train) school now. "He taught us wisely and took no money, " he said, "He is my best teacher and friend. "
