    In the past when batteries in the electrical equipments in my house ran out, I would just put them in the garbage bag. Last week I learned from magazine that one battery could possible pollute 16 thousand liters of water. It is deeply shocked that a battery can be so a pollutant. Then I came up to an idea. I decided to transform one of my shoe boxes into a battery recycling box. Then I put them in front of our apartment building. To my delighted, the box was filled up in a couple days. Then I call the recycling center to collect the batteries. The staff spoke highly of all what I did.

    As the saying goes, many little drop of water make an ocean. A small action may lead to major changes took place in society. My friends and I had participated in a voluntary activity at a nursing home last week. We first did some cleaning or washing. After that we spent half an hour chatted with the old people living there. Though it was a tired day, we were happy with that we did. I felt a sense of responsibility by visiting the old. If all of us lend a helping hand to the people in need, they can live in harmony with each other. A society is just as a family. If we are willing to help others, our small actions can make big difference.

    We are required to collect our smart phones and keep it in the teachers during the weekdays. In fact the most of us obey this regulation, but some still play various trick against it. I'm among those. Once, I hand in a waste phone. Mr. Li, our head teacher, seemed ignore all that. So I felt very luckily to have an extra phone with me. And good times don't last long. "Can I use your phone as a while? I forgot to take mine by chance". Li said, pick out my waste phone and dialing. You can see how embarrassing I was at the scene!
