If anyone can be called a scientific giant after Albert Einstein, that person must be Stephen Hawking. On March 14, 2018, the world-famous British scientist died at 76 in Cambridge, UK.

    Stephen Hawking was born on January 8, 1942 in England. When he was a boy, he 1 to study how things worked. His father wanted him to 2 a doctor, but he didn't want to. He had great 3 in science.

I know how hard it is to make friends in a new school. I once joined the football team and the music club in my school of Toronto. I was very popular at that time and made a lot of friends. It made me very happy and my school life was very great.

Everything became different when I was 16 years old, because my parents decided to move to    Florida. Who can quickly adapt to (适应) a completely strange environment? So changing to a new   school was not easy for me. At the beginning, days in the new school were much more different than I thought. The class schedule (时间表) was different, and the teachers and students were strange and fresh to me. Some kids tried to be nice to me, but I was afraid to have a talk with them.

This summer Katie did the usual by-the-sea things she'd learned to do. One day, she rowed a boat out but was trapped on a rock by a storm. As she looked up and tried to catch the last warmth of the sunshine through dark clouds, she saw a single white feather. A gull feather? She searched the sky for an answer. Putting her arms around knees, she closed eyes to hold in the tears (眼泪). "Kee-aah! Kee-aah!" Katie sat up. "Katie! Katie!" Soon, Dad and Uncle Ralph appeared. "How lucky! We heard Gulliver as we came around the rocks," Uncle Ralph said, "At least… it sounded like him. Strange, he was nowhere in sight." Katie remembered the feather. "I thought I heard him, too."

In order to make our after-school life colorful and relax our minds, we went for an outing to the West Hill.
