    Last Saturday I took bike trip to the nature park together with three of my friends in the breeze (微风), there we went for sighting. In the forest, we saw a number of plant and knew a lot about them. And then we go to a patch of grass that was full of wild flowers. We lay in the sun quietly, enjoyed the fresh air. The sight was very amazing that we didn't want to leave. We talked about our experiences happy and played several childhood games. Later, we had photos taken together and rode back to home.

    It was really an unforgettable weekend because they learned a lot about plants. With addition, we relaxed ourselves by enjoying the beauty of nature.

    It was March 8th, Women's Day. I decided to do something for my mom and give her a surprise.

    Immediately after school, I went to the supermarket, when I bought plenty of vegetables, fish and meat. As soon as I arrived home, I started to prepare the dinner for Mom. It was the first time that I had cooked something on my own. Not knowing the exactly process to cook. I read some recipes first. Keep what I had learned in mind, I got down with cooking. Almost an hour later, three simple but delicious dishes were ready on the table.

    Since Mom couldn't get home until thirty minutes later, I started to do some cleaning. It was not difficult for me. Mopping thoroughly , the floor was quite clean.

    No sooner had everything been ready Mom came back. I couldn't wait to show what I had been done for her. A big smile with both surprise and satisfy spread on Mom's face when she found the hearty（丰盛的）dinner and the tidy room. At that moment, pride rose from a bottom of my heart. Although she fell a little tired, everything was worthwhile.

    I am good at English and always get high marks in English test. Last month, an English speech contest held in our school. I take part on behalf of our class. Proud of my excellently English, I ignored my teacher's advice but didn't prepare for the contest at all. The important day came in. When it was my turn, I walked onto a stage confidently. However, the moment I saw the speech topic, my mind went complete blank. I was at a loss for words because I knew something about the topic. Filled with regret and shame, I learned a good lesson: pride comes after a fall.

    Studying in the UK have been a good experience for me. When I first arrived, I find life very hard as I didn't know anybody here, but I soon got to know other Chinese student at the university. Later I became interesting in communicating with people from various cultures, and I made fewer friends.

    During my study, I chose to live in with my classmates in the dormitory. I think it's better than living in British family because I can meet people from different countries easy. The courses here are excellent. I enjoy the way the teachers give lessons. We are encouraged to think for yourselves, which is quite different from that I have experienced before.

    As is known by all, illnesses always bring pains and sufferings to humans, but doctors can help us get rid of it. They got trained to know the causes of different type of illnesses and the best ways to cure patients. That's why doctors are highly respecting. I want to be a doctor in the future. Be a doctor, of course, is not easy because it requires difficult process of learning. However, I have faith in overcoming all the challenges and eventual realizing the dream. Also, I know how I should do now is to learn as much as possible, particularly chemistry and biology. To realize my dream of becoming a doctor, and I will spare no effort.

    Noah Webster, a teacher which graduated from Yale University in 1778, once fought against the British in the American War of Independence. He felt that writing English in the newly independent United States should have distinctive "American" look.

    His first book, The Elementary Spelling Book, suggested simplify the spelling of English words. The book was extreme popular. By the 1850s it was selling one million copies a year, making them one of the most popular school books ever.

    What's more, Webster is best know for his American Dictionary of the English Language, which first was appeared in 1828.Today, it was still the number one dictionaries for American students.
