    When old Mr Chow was a young man, he went to visit his uncle in the city. His wife and children met him at the train station when he arrived back in the countryside. When he got off the train, his wife asked, "Did you miss us?"

    "Yes, I missed you all. There's no place like home. Life in the city was strange. Uncle Tom lives in a modern neighbourhood (居住区), People go up to their homes in a big box." Mr Chow said.

    "You look tired." said Mrs Chow.

    "Yes, I need to sleep. I couldn't sleep at night because the light was much brighter (更亮）than the candle in our house."

    "Why didn't you blow it out?" asked Mrs Chow.

    "I tried (尝试）to, but it was in a glass ball." said Mr Chow.

    My name is Zhang Pei .I have a friend. His name is Jack. He has a grandfather and a grandmother .they are seventy years old. They are at home. Jack's father works in a school. His mother is a doctor, Jack is a good student . They are very busy . They all get up early in the morning . Jack often helps his grandparents cook breakfast . There is a big garden and many young trees in front of his house. We can play games there .It's great.

    Len was thirty years old and he had very long hair. He lived in a big city. Because of his long hair, he did not find any work. One day he met an old friend, and this man said to him," People in this city don't like long hair. Why don't you go to a barber? He can cut a lot of it off, and then you can get some work." At the barber's Len said to the barber," Please cut most of my hair off."

    The barber began. He cut and cut for a long time and then he said to Len," Were you in the army a few years ago?"

    "Yes, I was." Len answered. "Why did you ask that?"

    "Because I found a cap in your hair."

    The children are going camping tomorrow.  Now they are reading some camping tips.

Camping Tips

    Take a tent, food, water, a cooking pot, warm clothes, walking shoes and a towel(毛巾) with you. Choose flat(平坦的) ground for your tent.

    Don't choose a place near a river for your tent.

    Don't drink water from a river.

    Set up your tent before it gets dark.

    Gather firewood before dark and make a fire near your tent.

    Don't walk around without shoes.

    Close the door of your tent at night.

    Be careful!

    There may be snakes.

    Collect your litter(垃圾) and take it away with you.

    There is a frog (青蛙). He lives in a well (井) and he never goes out of the well. He thinks the sky is as big as the mouth of the well.

    One day a crow (马狗) comes to the well. He sees the frog and say, "Frog, let's have a talk." Then the frog asks, "Where are you from?" "I fly from the sky," the crow says. The frog feels surprised (惊讶) and says, "The sky is only as big as the mouth of the well. How do you fly from the sky?"

    The crow says, "The sky is very big. You always stay in the well, so you don't know the world is big."

    The frog says, "I don't believe(相信)." But the crow says, "You can come out and have a look by yourself." So the frog comes out from the well. He is very surprised. How big the world is!

I'm Tony. My pet is yellow and green. It has got two legs and two wings. It has got a big mouth and a long tail. It can say hello to me. It can also fly. It is a parrot.
