Nadia Comaneci, a famous gymnast (体操运动员) , was born in Romania in 1961.

    When she was doing cartwheels (侧手翻) on the playground at the age of 6, a PE teacher saw her. He told her family that she was very good and advised Nadia to train in the capital of Romania. Although it was a long way from her home, Nadia went because she loved gymnastics (体操).

    After that, she trained hard and took part in lots of competitions. In 1975, she was named as one of the Athletes of the 20th Century.

    In 1976, Nadia went to the Olympics in Canada. She was so fantastic in the competition that everyone waited for the score, a high score. But the scoreboard showed 1.00!

    Everyone was surprised. There wasn't a sound for a moment. Then a voice came, "Ladies and gentlemen, Nadia Comaneci…10!"

    The audience (观众) cheered very loudly. So what happened? Well, when the scoreboard was built, no one thought a score of 10. 00 was possible. The decimal point (小数点) was in the wrong place! In fact, the scoreboard only had three digits (数位) to show scores, such as 9. 50 or 9. 85 at that time.

    In the 1976 Summer Olympics, Nadia Comaneci scored a perfect 10, which was thought impossible before. From then on, she was looked as a hero. In 1984, she got retired (退休的).

A barking (吠)dog does not bite (咬)

Tom is a little boy of eight. His father is a doctor. He works in a hospital. He is often very busy (忙).{#blank#}1{#/blank#} After dinner, he says to Tom, "Tom, it's a nice evening. Put on your cap and coat.{#blank#}2{#/blank#}."

Tom is very glad.{#blank#}3{#/blank#} He puts on his cap and coat and says, "Dad, I am ready." Then Tom and his father go out to the park. "Oh, yes! Dad," says Tom. "I know the proverb, you know the proverb, but does the dog know the proverb?"

The 24-year-old volunteer, who is known online as Danni recorded(记录) happy times with her students on her phone. Each of the videos attracts thousands of Chinese netizens who are interested in her volunteer experiences.

After finishing university in 2020, Danni chose to work in Africa for a year and then traveled to seven countries. Finally, she stopped in Uganda because of a primary school. She taught children from Grade One to Grade Four. Danni set up different kinds of classes for her students, such as Chinese language learning and cooking.

Sometimes Danni would cook traditional Chinese food for her students, and she also taught them to speak Putonghua. "Their smiling faces gave me energy(能量) and I enjoyed staying with them," she said.

In 2022, Danni arrived in Lebanon and became a voluntary teacher at a local school. This time she taught arts and crafts(手工艺). At the school, Danni built beautiful friendships with the children. They would run to give her hugs(拥抱) or small presents every morning, and would invite her to their homes.

She had some interesting activities in her teaching such as paper cutting and the making of paper ice cream. Some of her students were good at these and could finish the handicraft works quickly, while some needed a bit of help. The good thing was that they all worked hard.

Liz's life was changed forever that year. It all {#blank#}1{#/blank#} with her kindness towards two strangers. One early morning, they walked into the restaurant where she worked.

 Tim and Paul stepped into a restaurant for {#blank#}2{#/blank#} after they fought a terrible fire for 12 hours. They were so hungry that they ate a lot. When they paid for the bill, they were very {#blank#}3{#/blank#}. The young waitress had paid their bill, leaving a sweet message on their bill," Thank you for serving people and running into the dangerous places. Your meal is on {#blank#}4{#/blank#} today."

Touched, the two firefighters shared her kind action on the website. It {#blank#}5{#/blank#} drew millions of people's attention. And later they found out the true story of that kind waitress. Liz Woodward had been {#blank#}6{#/blank#} to make money. Her father couldn't walk because of a brain illness. They decided to {#blank#}7{#/blank#} her by raising $ 10,000 for a wheelchair- accessible car for her father. However, people did not stop when the money raising ended. After hearing of her kindness, Mobility Ventures, the wheelchair- accessible cars producers, gave the family a car for {#blank#}8{#/blank#} as a Christmas gift. The family was moved a lot.

 Liz was so {#blank#}9{#/blank#} to the two firefighters and many strangers for helping her, saying," All the kindness is really unbelievable! I hope this brings hope to other people in similar situations. And I will continue to pass the {#blank#}10{#/blank#} to others. I believe the world will be warmer."

On a sunny afternoon, we decided to visit a place where nature' s beauty spread out like a colorful blanket. As we walked through the gates, we couldn't help but notice how the flowers and greenery attracted everyone's {#blank#}1{#/blank#}（注意). The grass was green and the flowers {#blank#}2{#/blank#} (闻) sweet. 

The {#blank#}3{#/blank#}（花园）were filled with people. Different activities {#blank#}4{#/blank#}（牵涉） picnicking and playing games under the shade of the trees. Everyone seemed to be enjoying themselves, smiling and laughing politely at each other's jokes. 

One of the highlights of the day was the {#blank#}5{#/blank#}（耐心的）guide. He told us stories about the history of the place and its {#blank#}6{#/blank#}（习俗), making the facts interesting. As we walked {#blank#}7{#/blank#}（沿着）the paths, we found a small board that explained its meaning and the artist who created it. We {#blank#}8{#/blank#}（躺) down on the grass nearby, taking in the fresh air and the beauty as well.

It was more than just a relaxing afternoon ; it was an experience that left us with {#blank#}9{#/blank#} （回忆) that would last a lifetime. And we couldn't help but feel a deeper connection to the lay, create, what, make mistakes, be similar to {#blank#}10{#/blank#} (传统) of our town.We can also raise money for the homeless. 

My life at school is always wonderful. In the {#blank#}1{#/blank#} grade, my school life becomes more exciting. {#blank#}2{#/blank#} all the subjects I study, science is my favourite. We learned about a great invention that changed the way people travelled. In history class, we talked about how cities grew and how {#blank#}3{#/blank#} people moved to them for work. After classes, the {#blank#}4{#/blank#} school takes part in different activities. Some students play sports, while others enjoy {#blank#}5{#/blank#} meetıngs in clubs. The school offers us lots of new chances to have great fun.
