The lion and the goose

    It is a hot day in summer. A lion is walking along a lake. He is looking for something to eat. He is very hungry. A goose is swimming in the water. The lion is very happy to see him. “This is my lunch,” The lion says to himself（自言自语）.

“Hello Mr. Goose!” “Go away, you're bad lion” says the goose. “I have good news for you.” “What is it?” ask the goose. “I don't want other animals to hear it. Please come here.” Says the lion. The poor goose gest out of the water and runs to the lion. The lion eats him up.

    Earth Day is on April 22nd. It was startedby an American Nelson. In 1970, about 20 million(百万) Americanscelebrated the first Earth Day. Every day, we take important things from theearth, like trees, water, and oil. Our factories, cars, and garbage(垃圾) make the air, water, and land dirty. If we are not careful, wewill have no trees, no clean water and air, and no food. Earth Day tells us tobe kind to the earth. Use less water, plant more trees... The earth is ours, sowe should help the earth every day, not just on Earth Day!

    Last Sunday morning, I went to the park with my good friends. The weather was sunny. Lots of people went there. In the centre of the park, there is a big lake. We call it Gexian Lake. There were some boats on the lake. We took a boat, too. In the boat, we felt comfortable and happy. We sang and laughed all the time. Wow! What a happy day!
