Keeping animals and planting vegetables at school? This is what the students are doing at Zhuxi Middle School in Yangzhou, Jiangsu. The school has a small farm. There are seven chickens, three 1 and a pig on the farm. There is also a place for students to 2 vegetables. "We have got potatoes and tomatoes here," says a seventh-grader. "In autumn, we can give 3 to the cooks at our school.

No one knows where they are going or why. Since {#blank#}1{#/blank#} (三月) 2020, a family of wild elephants in southwest China have traveled hundreds of miles from a natural reserve (保护区). They walked north through {#blank#}2{#/blank#} (田野), highways, villages and towns.

They walked around in villagers' yards to look for food and water, tried to {#blank#}3{#/blank#} (偷) crops (庄稼) and always left a mess.

An expert who studies wild elephants at Yunnan University said, "We have no way to {#blank#}4{#/blank#} (猜测) where they are going. It is common for Asian elephants to move, but in the past they mostly looked for food within their reserve. Traveling this far north is quite {#blank#}5{#/blank#} (不寻常)."
