    Hello, my name is Valdemar. I'm from Angola. I'm 23 years old and work as a field-applied scientist(技术人员)at the BGI Genomics Huo-Yan Laboratory in Africa.

    So today, my story is about coming from Africa, learning biotechnology(生物科技)in China, and helping African people in the face of the COVID-19 pandemic(抗击新冠疫情)with the knowledge(知识) I learned in China. 2020 is an unusual year for everyone in the world.

Schools were closed, most people had to stay at home without money to fight with the fast spreading virus(对抗迅速传播的病毒). During that time, doctors and nurses were not easy. Their everyday life was between hospitals and the hotels, what's more, they even had no time to see their family for a long time and it was dangerous to go back home with virus.

    After that, I really want to go back to China, my second home, and enjoy my time with my dear friends in Shenzhen. I miss the beautiful parks and the old ladies' dance there. I look forward to getting together with my friends and eating really good hot pot(火锅). That's the most wonderful thing I want to do when I get back to China.
