Mr Brown and his son, John Brown like fish very much. Last Sunday morning, it was a fine day. The sun was {#blank#}1{#/blank#} . Mr Brown and John went{#blank#}2{#/blank#} . Mrs Brown {#blank#}3{#/blank#}  them and said it was going to rain. She wanted them {#blank#}4{#/blank#} their rain coats with them. But they{#blank#}5{#/blank#} to her. When they got to the river, it was getting {#blank#}6{#/blank#} . Soon it began to rain {#blank#}7{#/blank#} . So they{#blank#}8{#/blank#} to go home{#blank#}9{#/blank#} fishing. When they hurried home,{#blank#}10{#/blank#}  of them caught bad colds.

    When I was a little child, I was afraid of hears. Later, {#blank#}1{#/blank#} I was a teenager, we made a car trip from Oregon to Minnesota. We camped along the way. I {#blank#}2{#/blank#} to sleep in the car rather than in our tent, because I thought a car was {#blank#}3{#/blank#}than a tent. One night we stopped in a campground. I woke early the next morning while my friends were still {#blank#}4{#/blank#} in the tent. I got out of the car and headed for the restroom. On the way right in front of me was a huge {#blank#}5{#/blank#} , looking right at me. It was at least 12 feet tall I cried, turned and ran back to the car. I could never forget it!

    On the way home we drove {#blank#}6{#/blank#} Yellowstone Park. Bears were everywhere along the road. There were lots of cars, so we were driving very {#blank#}7{#/blank#} , sometimes stopped. The bears came right up to our cars to ask for food. I {#blank#}8{#/blank#} them through the car window. I wasn't afraid of the bear any more.

    Later I found something about bear attacks(攻击). {#blank#}9{#/blank#} 1900 and 2003 there were 52 human died because of bear attacks, while more than 300 people were killed every year by dogs. However, most of us are more {#blank#}10{#/blank#} bears. In fact, bears need human kindness. It's time for us to start caring about wildlife, particularly(尤其)bears.

Mr. Black worked as a teacher in a primary school after college at first. However, because he had 1 teaching experience, he lost his job soon. When he told his wife about this, she said, "You shouldn't be too sad about it. Maybe there is a better job 2 for you."

Little Sam goes shopping with his mom in the shopping center.He sees four mirrors in the center.Sam feels they are interesting and he is really interested in them.

He stands in front of the first one.Oh，no!The boy in the mirror is not him.He is short and fat.Then Sam comes to another mirror.This time he is very thin and tall and his legs are very long.In the third mirror，Sam is tall with a long neck.Sam thinks he looks really funny and laughs. "You look like a giraffe （长颈鹿），" Mom says and laughs，too.

Sam comes to the fourth mirror. "Look，Mom，" Sam says， "It's me.I'm not tall or short.And I'm not fat or thin.I'm of medium build.It's good."

"What makes you look different in the other three mirrors？" Mom asks.

"Science，" Sam says. "Science is so fun!"

A little boy invited his mother to attend his school's first parent-teacher meeting. This would be the 1 time that his classmates and teacher met his mother. She had a large scar(伤疤) that 2 nearly the entire(全部的) right side of her face. The boy 3 ashamed (羞愧的) and never asked why or how she got the scar. At the meeting, everyone 4 the act of his mother's kindness, but the little boy was still embarrassed and 5 himself from everyone. He did, however, overhear(无意中听到) a conversation 6 his mother and his teacher.

Tom is a good boy. He is seven years old and he is going to school soon. But Tom has a shortcoming (缺点). He can't get up early. He likes sleeping until nine or ten o'clock in the morning.

His mother doesn't want him to be late for school，so she says to Tom, "You must get up when you hear the clock ring."

"OK, mum," says Tom. And from then on, Tom gets up when he hears the clock ring at six thirty every morning.

But today, his mother forgets to wind (给……上发条) the clock, so Tom doesn't get up now. Mother goes to wake him up! Tom is in bed and his eyes are open.

"____" Mother asks angrily. "It's six forty."

"You say I must get up when I hear the clock ring, so I am still waiting for the bell."
