A new way of travelling will appear in the next few years — flying taxis. Many of us grow up watching sci-fi movies with taxis flying in the air. Science stories are now becoming science facts.

The Japanese airline ANA has teamed up with a U.S. business called Joby Aviation. The two plan to start using flying taxis at the 2025 World Expo in Osaka. They are now working together on making the flying taxis. They need to work out what traffic rules the taxis will need to follow, and what kind of training flying taxi drivers will need. The five-seat, all-electric taxi will be able to take off and land directly. It can fly up to 241 kilometers and can reach 321 kilometers per hour.

Joby Aviation's CEO said that the taxis would be good for the environment because they will help decrease (减少)people's carbon footprint （碳足迹）. Now it takes over one hour by car to get from Osaka Station to Kansai International Airport. But in the future, it will only take 14 minutes in a flying taxi.

"Japan badly needs flying taxis with most people living in urban areas, and Tokyo is one of the most crowded cities in the world," Joby Aviation's CEO said. The chairman of ANA said, "Being able to provide customers with the chance to travel quickly and safely is very wonderful."

When thinking of the Arctic (北冰洋), some people may imagine an icy land of white snow. And other people may imagine it as the last really clean place left on Earth. In fact, we have polluted the deepest oceans with plastic rubbish, and now, CNN says, "It's the Arctic's turn."

German scientists have recently found microplastics in Arctic snow. Microplastics are pieces of plastic smaller than 5 millimeters. Sadly, the scientists found 1,800 pieces of microplastics per liter (升) of snow. That may cause terrible air pollution. 

How is plastic pollution reaching the Arctic? According to scientists, "It's clear that most of the microplastics in the snow come from the air. They fall off plastic objects and are moved by the wind. They mix with ice in the air and fall to the ground as snow."

Are they bad for us? We do know that our bodies cannot take in "large" pieces of microplastics. However, if the plastics are small enough, they can find ways into our bodies and stay there for a long time, which can be bad for our health. What's more, earlier studies have shown that microplastics may contribute to lung (肺) cancer risk. 

Microplastics have also been found in rivers and oceans around the world. Research has found that they flow over long distances and into our oceans, damaging (损坏) ecosystems along the way. When we wash clothes with plastic fibers (纤维), they start in our wastewater. The wastewater then flows into rivers and out to sea. They are eaten by sea animals there. If people then eat these animals, it means that we're eating the plastic as well.

Garry Golden is sharing his ideas with some university students.

Golden is a futurist(未来主义者) . Futurists are scientists who study(研究) the world today and use that information to make predictions about the 

future.Some futurists study the environment.Some study human society(人类社会), Golden studies transportation(交通运输).

Golden says there will be fewer cars in cities in the future.

Golden says. "We have to build lots of parking lots (停车场) for cars, but having so many parking lots is not efficient . Much of the time the 

parking lots are empty (空的). Golden says cities will make new laws(法律)to limit(限制) the number of cars in the future.

"Buses have the same problem as parking lots,"Golden says. "Sometimes they are full, and sometimes they are empty." Golden says in the future 

people can use phones to send messages(信息) when they want to take the bus. And buses can change (改变) their ways to pick(接) them up.

"Traffic is a big problem for cities today," Golden says."But there are so many things we can do to improve it. I believe that in thirty years we will live in a very different world."

As teenagers, we should always keep the sense (意识) of safety in mind. But how can we be safe? Here {#blank#}1{#/blank#}(be) some advice. First, we must be careful when we make {#blank#}2{#/blank#}(friend), especially online. If we are at home alone,{#blank#}3{#/blank#}(not open) the door for strangers (陌生人) easily. Second, if we are in danger, we should call the police {#blank#}4{#/blank#} help in time. Let's {#blank#}5{#/blank#} (keep) ourselves safe in this way. While we are at school,{#blank#}6{#/blank#}(not run) after each other in the classroom because it is dangerous. At the same time, we should remember {#blank#}7{#/blank#}(protect) ourselves while doing sports. Also, we should eat {#blank#}8{#/blank#}(health) and safely.{#blank#}9{#/blank#}(not eat) unhealthy food. Last but not least, summer is coming so we mustn't swim {#blank#}10{#/blank#} parents around. It's also very dangerous.
