Last Saturday, our class went to the science museum. We {#blank#}1{#/blank#} (visit) the dinosaur （恐龙） room. All of us {#blank#}2{#/blank#} (be) very excited. Dinosaurs lived in the world millions of {#blank#}3{#/blank#} (year) ago. But now they have died out. There was a robot dinosaur in {#blank#}4{#/blank#} museum. It could make sounds and walk just {#blank#}5{#/blank#} real dinosaurs. 

Some dinosaurs were scary （吓人的）. We were afraid {#blank#}6{#/blank#} them. We even {#blank#}7{#/blank#} (watch) a large dinosaur "eating" a small animal. Some dinosaurs looked very big, but they only used their {#blank#}8{#/blank#} (tooth) to eat plants, They didn't eat meat. Some dinosaurs could {#blank#}9{#/blank#} (fly)! 

Some scientists {#blank#}10{#/blank#} (study) the dinosaurs and they thought that these dinosaurs lived in trees and had wings （翅膀） like birds. So are birds part of the dinosaur family? It's really an interesting idea.

Some children don't like their schoolbags. Schoolbag makes them think of books and homework. My schoolbag is different. It is from my father, and there is a name "Mary" on it. I love it because it holds everything I need.

I love books and my schoolbag keeps them with me. I don't mean only schoolbooks. I mean my reading books, too. Now I am reading Peter Rabbit. After that, I will read Harry Potter.My schoolbag also holds my lunch box. Dad always puts a good lunch in my schoolbag. Sometimes he puts a note in it. That way, I feel happy all the afternoon.

Sometimes my schoolbag is very heavy, but I don't mind. It has everything I need. It's like a home on my back.

Marcos was a hard- working farmer. Every day he asked his only son to 1 him on the farm, but Paolo seldom got out of bed before noon. Marcos was very 2 about his only son.

While we were eating breakfast, Claudio went upstairs to collect his things. I {#blank#}6{#/blank#}(sudden) heard him calling me. When I walked{#blank#}7{#/blank#} the room we shared, I found Claudio sitting at my bedside. "It's time, brother, " he said. I thought he was saying that it was time for him to leave,{#blank#}8{#/blank#} in fact he told me that I should take on a bigger role in the family from then on. He said I should be more {#blank#}9{#/blank#} (use) to Mum than before after he left. 

I thought about his words very{#blank#}10{#/blank#} (careful) and then understood many things. That day I learnt about family, love and duty. 

He was an old man who fished alone in a boat and he had gone eighty-four days now without taking a fish.In the first forty days a boy had been with him.But after forty days without a fish,the boy's parents had told him that the old man was now salao,which is the worst form of unlucky, and the boy had gone at their orders in another boat which caught three good fish the first week.

It made the boy sad to see the old man come in each day with his boat empty and he always went down to help him carry fishing tools.

The old man was thin with deep wrinkles(皱纹) in the back of his neck.His hands had the deep scars(伤疤) from dealing with heavy fish. But none of these scars were fresh.

Everything about him was old except his eyes and they were the same color as the sea and were cheerful and full of confidence.

"Santiago",the boy said to him as they climbed from the bank where the boat was pulled up."I could go with you again.We've made some money."

"No,"the old man said."You're with a lucky boat. Stay with them."

"But remember how you went eighty-seven days without a fish and then we caught big ones every day for three weeks."

"I remember,"the old man said."I know you did not want to leave me."

"It was papa who made me leave.I am a boy and I must do what he told me to.""I know. I quite understand that.""He hasn't much faith(信念)."

"No,"the old man said."But we have. Haven't we?"

"Yes,"the boy said."Can I offer you a beer on the Terrace and then we'll take the fishing tools home?"

"Why not?"the old man said."Between fishermen."

They sat on the Terrace. Many fishermen made fun of the old man and he was not angry. Some other older fishermen looked at him and were sad. But they didn't show it and they spoke politely about the sea,the weather and of what they had seen.
