I gave my daughter one big push and then walked towards the little girl. I asked if she wanted me to give {#blank#}4{#/blank#}   a push. She smiled and said“Yes”. For the next two hours. I pushed the swings, and played with my two {#blank#}5{#/blank#}  and the little girl. When we went home, I was very tired. But my heart was flying much   {#blank#}6{#/blank#}   than the swings.

 One day two years later, after a  {#blank#}7{#/blank#}    work. I was a little tired. But I needed to pick up my kids before going home. While I was waiting outside the school gate, a little girl came over and smiled {#blank#}8{#/blank#}  at me. She gave me a big hug（拥抱）before catching her school bus. As I watched her running away, I didn't   {#blank#}9{#/blank#}   tired anymore.

 In life, the love we give others will find its way back to us. It may travel from heart to heart or it may blossom（开花）in the heart which it was {#blank#}10{#/blank#} in. The love we share, the kindness we give, and the happiness we create will always come back to us with a pleasant surprise.

My school, Sunshine Middle School, looks l{#blank#}1{#/blank#}a garden. It's in the west of Hangzhou.

    There is a l{#blank#}2{#/blank#} at the gate where many fish swim happily. Over the lake, there is a bridge. We often come here and w{#blank#}3{#/blank#} the fish. Go across the bridge and you can s{#blank#}4{#/blank#} a small garden. We spend a lot of f{#blank#}5{#/blank#}time there. 

     There is a{#blank#}6{#/blank#} a big library in the middle of the school. There are l{#blank#}7{#/blank#} of books in our library. Every noon, I go there to r{#blank#}8{#/blank#} books.

      I s{#blank#}9{#/blank#} happily in my school, and I e{#blank#}10{#/blank#}my day at school.

    My father {#blank#}1{#/blank#} (work) in an office. There {#blank#}2{#/blank#} two large windows in it. One day, a woman in a {#blank#}3{#/blank#} (pass) car looks up and sees my father. My father waves his hands, {#blank#}4{#/blank#} the woman waves back. This gives my father an idea.

    Later, he changes his way of {#blank#}5{#/blank#} (greet) people. He writes signs, like "Hello" or "Be happy". Every afternoon when people go home from work, my father will greet them with the signs. Then they {#blank#}6{#/blank#} （give）my father big smiles.

    The day when I came into the world, my father put a sign {#blank#}7{#/blank#} the window, "I'm a new father!" To his surprise, a sign {#blank#}8{#/blank#} (hold) by some people, saying, "Congratulations!"

    My father learns the {#blank#}9{#/blank#} (true) in the saying, "You smile, and the whole world smiles with you." And he becomes {#blank#}10{#/blank#} first one who greets strangers with signs every day.

    One day a man bought a lot of coconuts（椰子）and put them all on his horse. He was moving them to his {#blank#}1{#/blank#}(friend) house. On the way, the man met a boy.

    "How long would it take to get to the house?" he asked the boy.

    "If you go{#blank#}2{#/blank#} (slow)," the boy said, "you will get there very soon. But if you go fast, it will take you all day."

    "What a funny reply!" said the man. He did not listen to the boy. He made his horse run as fast as possible. Some coconuts fell off. He had to stop{#blank#}3{#/blank#}(pick)them up. Then he made his horse run fast again. But the coconuts fell off again, and he{#blank#}4{#/blank#}(stop) again.

    He did this many{#blank#}5{#/blank#} (time), and it was night when he finally got to the place.

 


     Are all wild （野生的） animals always dangerous?

    {#blank#}1{#/blank#} of people think that all wild animals are{#blank#}2{#/blank#}. But, in fact, few of {#blank#}3{#/blank#} will eat man if he leaves them alone（不招惹它们）. If you meet a lion, I think you will run away, but even a lion will avoid（避免） a man if it {#blank#}4{#/blank#} very hungry. Lions only kill and eat men when they are too old{#blank#}5{#/blank#} their food, such as sheep and other animals.

    We know some animals even are afraid of {#blank#}6{#/blank#} when they happen to（碰巧） see men. Some of them stand and look at a man for some time before they run away. The others {#blank#}7{#/blank#} care of him at all, but they walk {#blank#}8{#/blank#} in another direction. Wild animals only eat a man when they are afraid that the man {#blank#}9{#/blank#} to kill their young babies, or a man is shooting（开枪） at them and they are made angry

    Next time you go to the park, please watch some animals such as tigers, lions and {#blank#}10{#/blank#} in the cages. You can find they don't attack（攻击） people if you don't make them angry.

    In New York City public school，176 different languages are spoken a{#blank#}1{#/blank#} more than one million students．For 160000 children，English is not their first language．New York's Department of Education makes learning b{#blank#}2{#/blank#}for these students by providing dual﹣language （双语）programs．Students are taught in two languages，English and a{#blank#}3{#/blank#} one，such as French，German or Japanese，Math，social studies，science and all other regular courses are taught in both languages．And they learn about the {#blank#}4{#/blank#} /'kʌltʃə（r）/of the other country．

    Milady Baez，a headmaster，says these dual﹣language programs will help children succeed in the future．”The jobs of the future {#blank#}5{#/blank#} /n'kwatɔ（r）/that our students know more than one language．They're going to travel {#blank#}6{#/blank#}（在国外）and communicate with people from all over the world．This will open doors for them．”

    Shuya Zhang {#blank#}7{#/blank#}（教）a dual﹣language class．She says，”America started economic relationships with China．Lots of factories were b{#blank#}8{#/blank#}．companies moved to China．They need people with both language skills．”

    Anna，a Russian girl came to America {#blank#}9{#/blank#} she was two years old．She says the Russian．English program keeps her connected to her heritage and her parents happy．

    Nowadays，more and more {#blank#}10{#/blank#} （外国人）come to China．Perhaps in the future your school will also provide them with the dual=language program．
