It was the golden season. I could see the1leaves falling with the cool wind. For others it's the harvest season, but for me, it is a(n) 2season. I was 3 for the Postgraduate Entrance Examination（研究生入学考试）. But so many unhappy things made me so tired, so I decided to have a walk in my university.

    "Autumn is a lonely season and life is uninteresting. The days in this season always get me 4, "I thought when the beautiful sound of a guitar flowed into my ears. A young girl, sitting on the stone, was lost in her guitar playing. She was a beautiful girl, 5when the wind blew her long hair.

    Lost in the music, I didn't6that I had been standing for so long. Every day I would see her playing her guitar. She was the only7and I was the only audience. On the following days, life became8and I could review the courses carefully.

The 24-year-old girlErkhya Dolkhay comes from a small village in Xinjiang. Now she works on thetrain. In 2010, many girls of her age in her village {#blank#}1{#/blank#} (want) to get a jobto make money for the family, but Erkhya still decided {#blank#}2{#/blank#} (stay) in school. An artist(画家) went to a beautiful part of the country for a holiday and stayed with a farmer. Every day he went out with his paints(颜料) and brushes (画笔) and painted till evening. When it got dark, he went back to the farm and had a good dinner before he went to bed.

At the end of his holiday, he wanted to pay the farmer, but the farmer said, "No, I don't want money. But give me one of your paintings(画作). What's money? In a week it will run out, but your painting will still be here."

The artist was very happy and thanked the farmer for saying such kind words about his paintings. The farmer smiled and answered,"It's not that. I have

a son in London. He wants to become an artist. When he comes home next month,I'll show him your painting, and he will not want to be an artist any more, I think."

Sandy and Ellie are from the same city. Sandy used to be a doctor and Ellie was1 international photographer. They2 while they were traveling many years ago. Now the two old3 are eighty years old. In 2021, they started planning an adventure(冒险) — "Around the World at Eighty". They got the idea from the novel Around the World in 80 Days. They were going to visit eighteen countries and see some wonders of the world4 two and a half months. Unluckily, Sandy got sick at the end of 2021,5 they had to put off the plan. They finally made it in 2023.6 excited they were! 

So far, they've seen the Northern Lights and stood in front of the Pyramids. Everywhere they go, 7 talk with the people that they meet and make new friends. "For me, one of8 things of the journey is meeting people," said Ellie. Sandy and Ellie record the journey on the Internet. They quickly become popular. They hope9 others to keep moving in their wonderful years! "Don't sit in a chair and waste time," Sandy says. "If you don't use it, you10 it. "

This morning, I went camping along a path in Green Natural Park with my friends. We were happy because it was a sunny day. We were expecting an enjoyable two- day holiday. On the way, we kept singing and making jokes. 

However, in the afternoon, when we finished our picnic at one o'clock, it was dark and windy.  Soon there was a shower. Unluckily, none of us brought an umbrella. We ran about but we could find no place to hide. 

Twenty minutes passed and it was still raining. There were hours to go before we could reach the campsite (野营地). It was even worse that our small compass showed that we went the wrong way. We lost our way!

We had to make a quick decision as it was raining heavily. Chris said we could set up a tent to hide in, so Mary and Tom helped to set up the tent. Chris and I tried to make a fire to keep us warm. But we were unable to light the fire,  ▲ . We dried ourselves, chatted and waited inside the tent. At about five o'clock, it stopped raining. We decided to give up the camping trip because all of us were very tired. 

This camping trip may not be very successful but we have got to know each other better. And the most important thing I've learned from this trip is the importance of teamwork.
