Inventions usually make a big difference to people's lives. Do you have any great inventions at home? Do they help you a lot in your life or bring you much fun? Here are some of the most useful inventions in families according to a survey.

The most helpful and creative invention for kids is the reading pen. With the specially-designed pen, kids find it convenient and fun to learn. Little kids can learn a lot, including story-telling, poems and music. They start learning by touching the contents(内容) in the books with the pen. This way kids can learn by themselves. They are also great helpers for primary school students after school.

Mopping robots (扫地机器人)are popular with people who are too busy to do housework. They are more popular with office ladies. They can help people clean dirt, dust and hair easily. With the help of them, people don't need to spend much time on housework. They can enjoy a more relaxing life after work.

As for old people, an electric foot basin(电动洗脚盆)is the best invention, It's a good choice to buy one for your grandparents. It can help keep their blood pressure normal and improve blood circulation (循环). The special basin can keep the water warm. So washing feet with it will help old people become healthier and more relaxed.

Get a Life is a website (网站) that helps junior high students answer the question- What do you want to be when you grow up?

"It encourages teenagers to have a big dream; it tries to find out what is possible (可能的 ); it makes a plan for children to get where they want to go, " said Combs, one of the persons who set up(建立) the website.

Get a Life suggests (建议) teenagers let their hobbies and interests decide (决定) what to do in the future. It encourages them to look for activities that help them try to do some jobs and get important knowledge (知识) and skills. It also offers (提供) information about fast- growing and well- paid jobs, and provides job training (培训) for teenagers.

"Junior high school is the wonderful time for students to find out their interests, to have many different experiences (经历) and do something for their future jobs, "a junior high school teacher said. "Our world will become a better place if we make our horizons wide and try new things. Our students can't wait until (直到) high school or university (大学) to begin building their dreams. Now it is the right time to get a life. "

"This website is exactly (准确地) what these children need for a better future. If our children can make better plans for their future, it is more possible for them to succeed, " Combs said.
