Tom: Hello, Mary. Is this your pencil box?

Mary: No. It's not my pencil box. My pencil box is blue and new.

Tom: Is it Rose's pencil box?

Mary: No. Her pencil box is pink. This pencil box is green and old. What's in it?

Tom: There are four pencils, two pens, six crayons and one ruler.

Mary: Oh, I see. It is Jack's pencil box. His pencil box is lost (丢失).

Tom: OK, let's give (给) it to him.

    A brown duck meets a sad cat and asks him, "Please tell me, OK? I can do a lot of things for you." "Oh, no. You can't." The cat shakes his head and goes away.

    The duck keeps up with the cat and asks him again. The cat cries, "I want to buy some flowers for my mother on Mother's Day. But I can't find the flowers." The duck claps his hands happily, "I see. I can help you."

The duck points to the other side of the river and says, "Look there. There are many beautiful flowers. "So the cat climbs up a tree, "Wow, how beautiful they are!"

    The Mid-autumn Festival is one of the most important festivals in China. It is usually in September or October. And it is on the fifteenth day of the eighth month of the lunar calendar. On this day, people usually have a happy get-together with their family. They eat mooncakes and a lot of other delicious food. The mooncakes look like the round moon. It means "get-together". At night, people usually watch the bright moon with their family and friends. And the children usually light the colourful and beautiful lanterns. All the children like them very much. They all have fun.

    A young man goes to the city and buys himself a pair of socks. When he comes back home, he goes to his room and tries them on. He finds they are in different colours. One is blue and the other is green. He goes into the kitchen. His mother and his sister are cooking dinner. He says to them, "The new socks are in different colours. I should make them in the same colour. Would you like to do this for me?" His mother and sister are busy and they don't say anything. When his mother finishes cooking, she goes to her son's room and makes the green sock in blue. She comes back without saying a word to her son. After supper, his sister goes to her brother's room and makes one blue sock in green without saying anything to anyone.
