An AIDS （艾滋病）understanding program in Yunnan was started six years ago. It was held by the Chinese Red Cross. The program is a great way of making sure that people learn the facts about HIV/AIDS. It is so successful that it is running in several other provinces now.
The program not only provides care and support for the people who carry HIV/ADIS virus（病毒）, but also trains young people to teach others about HIV/ADIS. In the program, the volunteers hold two﹣day classes to teach people about the virus and its links（相关）to drug use and sexual practices. They also work with students, drug（毒品）users and people who may be at risk of becoming infected（感染）by the virus.
The organizers of the program said that people knew about HIV/ADIS and how it was spread after taking part in it. HIV/ADIS was found mainly among drug users and those who had become infected through careless blood transfusion（输血）practices. Today, the number of young people becoming infected through sexual activity is increasing, so it is important to deal with this big problem.
The Chinese government predicts that unless action is taken right now, as many as 10million people could be infected with HIV/ADIS in China in the next nine years.
In June 2001, the Chinese central government announced a five﹣year plan for dealing with the spread of the disease（疾病）. This plan focuses on better education about the virus, a national system to report cases of the disease and better practices for collecting blood.

Mother's Day is celebrated in the USA. It is also a holiday in some other countries. It is on the second Sunday in May. It is a day to thank mothers. On that day mothers usually receive flowers or cards. On the cards, children will write "Thanks, Mom"， "To the best mother in the world", "Best wishes for Mother's Day" and so on. We should make mothers happy on that day.
Where does the idea for the holiday come from? We should thank Miss Anna M. Jarvis. She brought up the idea of having such a day. She lived in West Virginia. Her mother died on May 9th, 1905.She had a deep love for her mother. She wrote letters to some important persons. In her letters she asked them to decide a day for all mothers. Then Mother's Day was made on the second Sunday in May by the USA in 1913.
In China, children give presents to their mothers on Mother's Day, or the whole family go out and try to do something nice for their mothers. Mothers always think of others more than themselves. They love their children and families very much. Everybody should show his love to his mother and help her as much as possible.

Even worse, the car drum may also be hurt because of cotton swabs. In daily lives, if you really want to, you can clean your outer cars with a little soap, water and a washcloth. And most of the time, there's no need to clean ear canals. The ear canal can naturally push out extra (额外) earwax. When you run, bathe or do other things, the extra earwax will fall out. So the best way to get the extra earwax out of our ears is— just to leave it alone. |
