Laura is my cousin. She works at a radio station. She thinks it's an interesting job. Today I will 1 you about her life.

    Laura says she is very busy 2 Monday to Friday. She usually gets up at 6：30 and exercises for half an hour. She has a nice breakfast at 7：15. After that, she goes to 3. She has lunch at the station. She usually gets home at about 7：00 p. m. Then she 4 dinner and has it at about 8：00 p. m. Then she watches TV with her cat. At about ten, she goes to bed.

A beautiful smile

    When I was thirteen years old, a girl gave me an important gift. It was a smile.

    It was the early autumn of my 1 year at a new school. It's also the first year of middle school. No one knew me. I was very 2, and afraid to make friends with anyone.

    Every time I heard the other students talking and laughing, I felt even more lonely. I could not talk to anyone about my problem, and I didn't want my parents to worry about me.

    One day, my classmates were 3 with their friends, but I sat in silence(沉默) and felt so down that everything didn't sound real. At that moment, a girl entered the classroom. I did not know who she was. She passed me and then turned back. She looked at me and, without a word, 4.

    Suddenly, I felt the 5 of something bright and friendly. It made me feel happy, lively and warm. It was like a hidden treasure(宝藏).

    That smile 6 my life. I started to talk with other students. Day by day, I learnt to trust people, and they included me in their circle of friends. The girl with the bright smile has become my best friends now, and we stick together like glue. I can talk to her about my study, feelings and hobbies, pretty much everything.     One day, I asked her why she smiled at me that day. She said she could not remember!

    Now I believe that the world is like a 8. It is just what you think it is. If you think you are lonely, you might always be alone. But if you smile at it, it will always smile back!

Last Saturday evening, my old car broke down on my way home. It was 25 kilometres away from my 1 , so I wanted to take a bus. 

I went to a bus stop and then a bus came. But it was not the 2 bus for my town. The bus driver was 3 and she told me that I needed to take the No. 5 bus. I 4 there for about thirty minutes, but no bus came. At last a 5 came to me and a woman walked out of it. I got a surprise. She was 6 the bus driver.

I learnt a lot from the woman,14 I joined a club called "Giving a Hand" later. Now I can also do something to15 those in need.

I am a plastic bottle. A week ago, I was on a supermarket shelf. I had a normal life, the same as all my brothers and sisters--other bottles full 1 water. I felt really happy.

Then a tall woman 2 me up and put me in her basket! The woman took me home and put me in the 3 . It was cold, but I soon made friends with the cans and bottles in it. 4 , only a few hours later, she took me out of the fridge and drank the water inside me. Then she threw me into the dustbin. I never felt so 5 and alone in my life.

Early the next morning, a man took me out of the dustbin. He threw me and the other rubbish into the back of a truck. There were so many horrible smells. Then I was pushed together with the rest of the rubbish. Soon I was 6 flat (扁平). I can't believe how thin I became.

I slept for a while. Then I 7 , I found myself in a terrible place. Everything around me was ugly and had horrible smells. I felt afraid. I kept hoping that I would be moved 8 else. Then huge trucks came and covered us with some soil.

I asked 9 bottle what would happen to us. He said that we would never leave this horrible crowded place, but would have to stay here for thousands of years.

"Why can't they reuse or 10 us?" I cried.
