Few people would even think of beginning a new job at the age of 76, {#blank#}1{#/blank#} one of America's most famous artists did just that.Anna Mary Robertson, better known as “Grandma Moses”， turned to painting {#blank#}2{#/blank#} she was too old to work on her farm.

Grandma Moses was crazy about painting soon after she picked it up and worked hard at it.She painted {#blank#}3{#/blank#} (care) and her works were nice.She first painted only to please {#blank#}4{#/blank#}， and then began to sell her works {#blank#}5{#/blank#} a little money.In 1993, a collector, Louis Caldor happened to see several of Grandma Moses' works {#blank#}6{#/blank#} (hang) in a shop.He liked them, {#blank#}7{#/blank#} (buy) them at once, and set out to look for {#blank#}8{#/blank#}．Caldor held {#blank#}9{#/blank#} show to introduce the works of Grandma Moses to other artists. Grandma Moses, {#blank#}10{#/blank#} was world­famous, died on December 13, 1961, at the age of 101.

    A 24-year-old Long Island man was charged early Thursday morning after crashing his car and killing his girlfriend while driving over the speed limit. Kevin Daly {#blank#}1{#/blank#} (sentence) to nearly three years in prison after losing control of {#blank#}2{#/blank#} partner Alice Hicks' car on a country road {#blank#}3{#/blank#} 80mph. She was a passenger in the Mini-cooper and was thrown from the car {#blank#}4{#/blank#} he crashed into another vehicle  {#blank#}5{#/blank#} (move) in the opposite direction. Daly, 24, denied causing{#blank#}6{#/blank#} (die) by dangerous driving and was found guilty by a jury (陪审团) at Taunton Crown Court. The court heard that neither Daly {#blank#}7{#/blank#} Miss Hicks, 22, was wearing seatbelts at the time of the collision that happened on November 17, 2011. NBC New York reports Kevin Daly, was driving on County Road 83, when the road was blocked by a truck that was waiting {#blank#}8{#/blank#} (turn) right. Witnesses described {#blank#}9{#/blank#} Daly had little or no chance of stopping behind the still traffic and he turned to avoid the van {#blank#}10{#/blank#} hit a Mazda on the other side of the road.

    A few years ago, famous writer and editor Tom became very ill. His body ached and he felt constantly tired. It was difficult for him to even move around. His doctor told him that he would lose the {#blank#}1{#/blank#}(able) to move and eventually die from the disease. He {#blank#}2{#/blank#}(tell) he had only a one in 500 chance of survival.

    Despite the diagnosis(诊断), Tom was determined to overcome {#blank#}3{#/blank#} disease and survive. He was always getting help from medicine books and some doctors {#blank#}4{#/blank#} gave the ideas of curing his disease. The ideas made Tom {#blank#}5{#/blank#}(think) about the possible benefit of several positive {#blank#}6{#/blank#}(emotion).

    He decided {#blank#}7{#/blank#}(concentrate) on positive emotions as a way to treat some of the symptoms of his disease. “Laugh therapy” became part of his treatment. He arranged time each day {#blank#}8{#/blank#} watching comedy films, reading humorous books, and {#blank#}9{#/blank#}(do) other activities that would draw out positive emotions. Within eight days of starting his ''laugh therapy” program, his pain began to decrease and he was able to sleep more {#blank#}10{#/blank#}(easy). He was able to return to work in a few months' time and actually reached complete recovery after a few years.

    Li Qiang was taking up the prize to travel to 3008 AD. It was his first time that he {#blank#}1{#/blank#}(travel) to space. So he was unsettled for the journey. Luckily, his guide, Wang Ping, was also his friend and gave him much help.

Wang Ping was swept up into the center of them. After a while Li Qiang caught up with him.

    Arriving at a strange-looking house, Wang Ping showed Li Qiang into a large room. The wall of the room was made of trees. The leaves of the trees provided {#blank#}9{#/blank#} with much-needed oxygen. After having a meal and a bath, Li Qiang found himself {#blank#}10{#/blank#} (exhaust) and then he slid into bed.
