Many people drive their cars to school or work now. So there are lots of cars on the streets. Sometimes, it's not easy for you to get to school or work on time(准时). Then you want to take a plane to school or work. Can your dream come true? Yes!

Four people in Germany(德国) make a new plane—Lilium Jet. It doesn't look like a plane but an egg. Many people think it looks funny. The nice "egg" can take two people and "run" about three hundred kilometers an hour.

    The Lilium Jet is not very big. So it doesn't need an airport(机场). A small place is OK.

    Some people also call the Lilium Jet "a flying car". It's not difficult for you to learn to drive it. You can drive it like driving a car.

    Maybe you can buy one in 2018 if you like it. I'm sure your trip to school or work will be great.

Ghaffar Pourazar, a British man, has learned the necessary skills to perform Beijing Opera and he has become popular with his lively performance of the Monkey King, a traditional character from the Chinese classic story Journey to the West.

In 1993, he happened to watch Beijing Opera performed in London by professionals from Jingju Theatre Company of Beijing. Ghaffar fell in love with the beautiful voices, colorful costumes, excellent shows and so on. So after a year, he arrived in China alone and became a student of Beijing Opera.

At the age of 32, he had to learn with teenage students every day, starting from the most basic training of the legs and waist (腰). At that time, he was mostly troubled by the dialogue in Beijing Opera. To him, it was the biggest problem. But he tried his best to practice it. 4 years later, he began to learn to perform the Monkey King. He usually arrived at the workroom on hour earlier than the other performers and he also bought books and CDs to understand the character better. Finally, He once won a top international prize for performing the Monkey King.

To help more people enjoy Beijing Opera, Ghaffar often teaches the traditional art form in schools in the United States, Britain and other countries. Ghaffar led a group of actors to perform 66 times in a month and a half in the United States. He also led a 48-member team to perform in Malaysia. In the past 10 years, he has performed in more than 400 shows.

Quan Hongchan comes from Zhanjiang，Guangdong. She is {#blank#}1{#/blank#}great diving（跳水） player in the world. 

Quan was born on March 28，2007. She is the {#blank#}2{#/blank#}（three）among（在……当中） the five children in her family. 

She spends over seven hours practicing diving every day. It is difficult，    {#blank#}3{#/blank#} she practices it hard. 

It was a hard time for Quan when she just went to the sports school. She had to live far away {#blank#}4{#/blank#} her home. The girl cried a few times，but she {#blank#}5{#/blank#}（keep） on trying. "My mother was sick（生病的） and my family was poor，so I wanted {#blank#}6{#/blank#} （make） more money for my family. "Quan said. She was hard—working. She did very {#blank#}7{#/blank#}（good） at the Tokyo Olympics （东京奥运会） in 2021. 

Quan has good living {#blank#}8{#/blank#}（habit）. She gets up and goes to bed early every day. She never eats unhealthy food like ice—cream because her coach（教练） He Weiyi doesn't let {#blank#}9{#/blank#}（she） do so. 

Quan's dream is to get more champions（冠军） for China. I think her dream can come {#blank#}10{#/blank#}. "My father told me to stay true to my dream，"she said. She always tells herself to keep going. 

According to a research, more than 130 billion pounds of uneaten food go to waste in Laura's country each year. That is about 30% of the yearly food supply(供应). It is a sad fact, especially when you consider how many families and homeless people are in hunger.

When Laura saw her school dining hall throw away food that was not eaten at all every day, she came up with an idea. She started a project to help her school dining hall to give away uneaten food to homeless shelters(庇护所) in her community. In the past three years, the same project has spread to other schools and some fast food restaurants throughout the city. The project is called Feed & Find, and has already fed thousands of people in her city.

How does it work? Through an app, Feed & Find matches local homeless shelters with school dining halls and restaurants that have uneaten food to provide. When dining halls or restaurants have uneaten food left, they can use the app to share the information about the food. A truck driver working for the project is then sent to pick it up and take it to a shelter.

Pretty cool, right? It's not surprising that people in other cities have got in touch with Laura, hoping that she could help develop similar projects for their communities.

Some people, however, have concerns about the safety of the uneaten food. They think such food may not be clean enough. Still, this

project is a clever way to help solve the problem of food waste and it helps those in need.

When people talk about air pollution, they are usually thinking about outdoor air 1 . But do you know that there is also air pollution inside homes, offices, hotels and other buildings? The air in your home can be 2 to 100 times more polluted than the air outdoors! In fact, some American doctors say that 50% of illnesses have 2 to do with polluted indoor air.

A lot of pollution comes from indoor activities 3 smoking and cooking. As most people 4 about 80%-90% of their time inside buildings, it is important to take indoor air pollution seriously, too.

Air pollution influences our health 5 . When the air is polluted, not only young children and old people 6 from it, 7 people with health problems suffer as well. Indoor air pollution can 8 people's eyes, noses and throats. Air pollution, both indoor and outdoor, can also 9 to lung cancer and heart disease! In the great London fog in 1952, 4, 000 people died in a few days 10 the pollution! It is said that half a million young children and women die each year in India because of indoor air pollution!

Our lives would not be the same without bees. Bees help plants grow. Many of these plants provide us with food. What would happen if there were no bees? Some fruits and vegetables that we enjoy could not grow. Bees are wonderful creatures*.

But now the number of bees is getting lower and lower. Scientists worry that bees may die off. How can we solve it? One answer is to make our gardens friendly to bees.

Making our gardens bee- friendly can increase the number of bees. Planting a bee garden is a great idea. These gardens provide bees with nectar*. A successful bee garden would have flowers from spring to fall. The garden would have all kinds of plants that are closely grouped together.

Many people believe that all bees live in hives. In fact, some bees dig into the ground. There they build nests and lay eggs. People lay wood pieces or other things on the ground. Bees can not dig nests when these materials cover the ground. Here is another good way to help bees. When you are working outside, leave loose dirt* in flower beds and gardens.

Some bees' nests are in old pieces of wood while others' in holes, in buildings or in trees. Gardens can provide spaces like these for bees. Trees or walls that stop wind are a good idea. And cool areas also can help bees get away from the hot sun. Bee gardens also provide bees with water. Bees need water just like people do

Making a garden friendly for bees is far from a useless task. The results are worth* the efforts*.  A bee- friendly garden is beautiful and colorful. Most importantly, it helps to keep bees healthy and happy.
