The train No. 5609/5610 runs between Chongqing and Xiushan County（县）. It is1 slow train. In some carriages( 车厢）of it,there2 some desks and chairs next to the windows. These carriages are called "study carriages". 

There are also "study carriages" on other slow3 like No. 5619/5620 and No. 5633/5634. The trains4 along the Chengdu-Kunming Railway. Students often take the train between school 5 home. The train are6 their "school buses" and many students do7 homework in the study carriages. 

On the train No. Z150 between Guiyang and Beijing, a "book bar（书吧）" carriages is 8 popular (受欢迎的). The carriage is open(开放）at night to give students a reading place with free tea. And there is only one rule--9 noisy.

It was a cold afternoon. Ginny and I were walking home after work {#blank#}1{#/blank#} suddenly a young man came. He asked Ginny if she wanted a hug. {#blank#}2{#/blank#} sign which read "Free Hugs" was in his hand. There were other people with him. They {#blank#}3{#/blank#}( hold) their handmade signs high.

"Sure!"Ginny smiled and walked up to him {#blank#}4{#/blank#}(slow). She hugged him with all the love she had in her heart. "Wow!" he said. "That is {#blank#}5{#/blank#}(warm) hug I've had all day!" Then the young man asked.me {#blank#}6{#/blank#}(give) a hug. I walked into his open arms and said, "You.got it!" Then we parted.

A young lady walked up {#blank#}7{#/blank#} hugged Ginny. Then she hugged me too. I felt the warmth filling my heart. Ginny and I were going through a hard time. We were stressed and worried {#blank#}8{#/blank#} life, but on that afternoon, for a short moment, it was forgotten completely.

"‘Free Hugs' was to reach out and hug a stranger to brighten up their lives," said the young man. Ginny and I stepped back and watched them work their magic with those who accepted {#blank#}9{#/blank#} (they). They offered hugs to everyone.

It took a simple hug to make all {#blank#}10{#/blank#}(thing) better.

Here is a story: A man sees a butterfly (蝴蝶). The butterfly tries to get out of its chrysalis (蛹). Feeling sorry for it, the man decides to help. He cuts the chrysalis and the butterfly comes out easily. Surprisingly enough, the butterfly is unable to fly. If the butterfly doesn't struggle (挣扎，奋斗) to leave the chrysalis, it can't fly! The struggle develops the energy in the butterfly which makes it fly. Similarly, the challenges (挑战) of life bring out the best in young people and make them fly.

When people are young, meeting and overcoming (克服) challenges will make them strong and ready to face life. When we look at successful people, we see that the most successful of them are people who have had to struggle. One famous businessman, who now owns many supermarkets, used to carry clothes on his back and sell them from door to door when he was young. Another successful man is Dennis. His father died when he was only twenty. His father's death forced him to mature fast. He had to bring up a family of nine people. He took up the challenges and overcame them. Today his brothers and sisters are leading successful lives.

Sometimes challenges do not appear to us because we keep away from them. So some parents and teachers actively encourage young people to face challenges. They might organize some activities for young people which provide them with challenges, like rock-climbing, camping, volunteer work and so on. However, just passing exams will not prepare a person for life. We must meet and overcome challenges. The young people of today will become the leaders of tomorrow. For countries to continue to become successful, it is important that the young people learn to meet challenges and overcome them.

This is an old story. One day, a man was not happy when his 7- year- old daughter made a box with some paper. The family didn't have much money. So the father thought his daughter wasted the paper. The next day, the little girl gave the box to her father and said," Dad, today is your birthday. This box is for you."

The man was happy. But he was upset when he found there was nothing in the box." Why didn't you put anything for me in the box?" He asked his daughter. The little girl looked at him and cried," Dad, I put my love in the box. It's all for you!"

The man felt moved and said sorry to his daughter. Sometimes, we can't see love with our eyes.

Every time we go into a museum, we are often told, " Don't touch that!" The Please Touch Museum in Philadelphia is just the opposite. The museum encourages visitors {#blank#}1{#/blank#}(touch) everything. 

My first visit to the museum {#blank#}2{#/blank#}(be) one year ago. We were very {#blank#}3{#/blank#}(excite) when Mum told us its name. She told us that we could climb, jump, and touch all the {#blank#}4{#/blank#}(thing) in the museum. 

This place is more like {#blank#}5{#/blank#} playground rather than a museum. It gives kids the chance to learn through {#blank#}6{#/blank#} (play). I had to be pulled out {#blank#}7{#/blank#} the museum when it was time to leave. How much I loved this place!

I {#blank#}8{#/blank#}(especial) enjoyed the very large water table and grocery (食品杂货店). I had {#blank#}9{#/blank#} much fun that I didn't even realise I was learning. 

The only problem is that this place gets crowded very quickly at weekends. {#blank#}10{#/blank#} you don't want to be immersed in(浸没于) the sea of people, get there early. 

If there was an empty lot (一块空地) in your neighborhood (街区), what would you want to turn it into? My classmates and I have turned such an empty lot into a place of hope.

The empty lot in our neighborhood was full of wild grass. As a project for our geography class, we wanted to change the lot. We hoped it could become a place to improve (改善) people's mental (心理的) health.

After weeks of designing, researching and making models (模型), we began our plans. Now the lot is a different place. There is a wood walkway with purple benches (长椅). Kids like the relaxing color, and they come to sit together and make friends.  

A few beautiful plants grow in the ground. There is also a bright blue hopscotch (跳房子游戏) board. We make it for a group of 8 to 10 school-aged kids who have no places to play in the neighborhood. And you can see a white wall painting with red words like "Love" and "Peace".

Now, the lot gives the neighborhood hope and beauty. More people love the neighborhood and have great hopes for things of the future.
