As Atkinson once told the Guardian in an interview, "The essence of Mr. Bean
is {#blank#}9{#/blank#} he's self-centered and doesn't actually acknowledge the outside
world. He's a child in a man's body."

why people all around the world can relate to Atkinson's humor. They want to be
just as self-centered as his characters. And they don't want to care what the outside
world thinks of them. They want to be different.
