I started playing the piano when I was about eight or nine. But when I got to university, I stopped playing it. I just didn't have enough time and there were so many other things to do.

There are some clubs(俱乐部) in our school. Students can join them if they like and they often m{#blank#}1{#/blank#} after school. Let me tell you some of the i{#blank#}2{#/blank#} clubs. 

You are welcome to the Story Telling Club. Students who are good at telling stories can join this club. On Tuesday and Thursday afternoons, students meet in Classroom 301, and they tell fun stories in turn (轮流). It is g{#blank#}3{#/blank#} for their writing and speaking. They also make{#blank#}4{#/blank#} (friend) there. The English Club is very {#blank#}5{#/blank#} (use). After school, you can come to Classroom 201 to join this club. The English teachers there can help you {#blank#}6{#/blank#}your English. You can speak English and tell stories in English. You can get some ways to learn English w{#blank#}7{#/blank#}. 

The Basketball Club is in the Sports Center. The P. E. teacher always teaches some skills (技能) about{#blank#}8{#/blank#} (play) basketball from 4:00 p. m. to 5:00 p. m. Then there is a basketball game. It's very exciting. Many boys like this club. 

You can learn how to draw pictures in the Art Club. You can meet in this club on Tuesday afternoons. The art teacher always shows some great p{#blank#}9{#/blank#} to students. Students can talk about some funny t{#blank#}10{#/blank#} about drawing. You can learn a lot there.

My son Sam is 16 and autistic (患自闭症的). It was Sam's very first day at high school. We'd set up a 1 of how he'd get home: I'd pick him up outside the 2 near his school at 3:30 p.m.

Unknown to me, very bad weather was on its way, and I was 3 . But because of his dead phone battery, I was 4 to communicate that to him. 5 , he became very upset and frightened outside the shop, exactly where I'd told him to wait.

This was 6 a beautiful old lady not only went to check on him, but took him inside her shop, 7 him down, got my phone number from him and called me. After that my son would go into her shop every afternoon, buy a drink and have a 8 .

Sam graduates this year, and I'm increasingly feeling the need to 9 the shop to let this 10 lady know that she helped Sam, and that she saved me from the situation. I'm not sure if I can 11 all of this, but at least I will get to thank her.

There are people I will not get to thank, though — the many kind strangers who have been there for Sam. And believe me, if you're wondering if this world is a complete 12 right now, I'm here to say that it is not.

So I guess this is a love letter to those of you who have helped a 13 out of the goodness of your heart. Please know that you as well as your beautiful heart and kindness are 14 , and perhaps 15 , you have made a great difference in someone's life.

NASA has been trying hard to explore the space. The recent developments include, the launch* of the James Webb Space Telescope, the successful asteroid* hit by the Double Asteroid Redirection Test (DART) spaceship, and the launch of the most powerful rocket ever built for the Artemis mission. The James Webb Space Telesco pe is the biggest and most powerful telescope ever built. It can see through dust in the universe and find new stars hiding inside those clouds. Even more exciting, it will try to find signs of Life on planets far away!

The telescope has been working for more than a year and has caught some amazing images and data. One example is an image of a huge star called Wolf- Rayet 124, which weighs about 10 times heavier than our sun, reported the Space website.

DART spaceship is another breakthrough for NASA. It will be used to keep Earth safe from asteroids. In September 2022, NASA tested it by hitting an asteroid called Dimorphos. The goal was to change its orbit*

Finally, we have the Mega Moon Rocket! This rocket is the most powerful one ever made and it's being used to help us get closer to Mars. NASA successfully launched it on Nov 16, 2022, and it had a 26- day trip around the moon. This is the first step of NASA's Artemis mission, which plans to set up a base on the moon for people to use in the future.

Despite the program's high cost, NASA believes that the Artemis project is worth it as it will be a key next step in the story of human exploration. As NASA administrator Bill Nelson told the BBC," This time we' re going to learn how to live in that bad environment for long periods of time all with the purpose of one day going to Mars." 

O.J.Mayo is a {#blank#}1{#/blank#} in the NBA. He was born {#blank#}2{#/blank#} November 5, 1897. He started playing basketball when he was 8 years old. Mayo {#blank#}3{#/blank#} a basketball star in his school. His teachers thought he was an all-round (全面的) player when he was in Grade One. In his first year on the high school basketball {#blank#}4{#/blank#} , he could play better than many older and bigger players. 

We began to {#blank#}5{#/blank#}him on TV and in newspaper. Mayo has good basketball skills ,and he works very {#blank#}6{#/blank#}. As a high school player, he {#blank#}7{#/blank#} at the sport center before 6 a.m. every day. 

After {#blank#}8{#/blank#} , he would play basketball with his friends and often went home very late."I'm not perfect (完美的), {#blank#}9{#/blank#} I try to be perfect." Mayo says " {#blank#}10{#/blank#} one is perfect, but I just try to get better.

Mama was calling to me. I started awake, realizing it must be nearly midnight. "Mary," she said 1 , "Where's your homework?" Then I remembered I had not finished my homework. "Oh, Mama, I fell asleep," I told her weakly. "Well, your 2 comes first! You'd better finish your work." She said. I dragged myself out of bed. As I did so, I could not help feeling 3 . Why me? Those feelings were nothing new, but I did not give voice to them. With Mama, you didn't argue. You just 4 . I finished my work and gave it to her to check.

I remember when Ann and I walked barefoot to school one fine September day because our 5 had worn out and there wasn't enough money for Mama to buy us new ones. The headmaster asked us to go home, for he couldn't have students attending school barefoot. I suggested to Ann that 6 spend the day in a nearby farm instead. Just about the time school was over we went home. There was Mama, waiting for us. I 7 a story rather than let her down. Then she started crying. It was 8 that she knew everything. She told us never to be 9 of being poor. "The most important is not what you 10 , but who you are", said Mama.
