One fresh sunny day, while I was swimming in the water, I felt something special going through my gills(鳃).It was a different kind of water. I also found many of my friends became sick. Some of them were dying. I was starting to worry because I didn't want to get sick or die. I was also thinking about what I should do to save my friends, so I decided to do some research for my underwater life.

    My research started. At first, I noticed there were many bottles, cans and other kinds of rubbish in the water. Then I went on… I got closer and then I tasted many different kinds of liquid(液体).(A)To my surprise, I noticed a man pouring some liquid into the water. Others also saw him doing so and they decided to follow him. I hated it! I wish I could have told them that it was killing us!

    I think it is so stupid for people to do this to the earth that they are living on! I can't understand (B)      they are doing this. Humans should stop throwing waste into the lakes or rivers. I want to have a normal life with my friends. People should stop being so selfish and care about the environment. If they do that, everyone will be fine and will have nothing to worry about. I suggest they follow my words. If so, I believe everyone will be able to live a happy life.

    The holiday is celebrated to memorize one of America's most admired presidents．Lincoln．It is on February l2th．

F .Thanksgiving Day

    The holiday is on the fourth Thursday of November．On this day Americans usually have Thanksgiving dinner with their family．Turkey is one kind of the traditional foods．

G .Memorial Day

    Americans celebrate this holiday on the last Monday in May so that all can enjoy a three-day weekend．It is a day to memorize those people who have lost their lives for their country．

H．Independence Day

    Independence Day is a holiday throughout the United States．It is America'-s most important holiday．

I was living in a house with a long history in Halifax, Nova Scotia five years ago. One day, one of my friends from the West Coast came to visit me. He was 1 for three weeks so he brought a lot of bags and suitcases, and other things like a 2  . I told him that he could sleep on the bed in the front living room.

One morning after a late night of drinking, my friend ran into my room, shouting, "FIRE! FIRE!"Without 3  , I jumped out of bed. The floor was 4  against my feet as I ran out into the hallway, right behind my friend. I couldn't see the fire anywhere, 5  as we ran towards the front door, I could hear the 6  making a loud noise all around me. It was inside the 7  . We ran out into the front yard and 8  at the house, seeing black smoke coming out of the 9  house.

We were standing there watching the house when I looked down and 10  all of my friend's bags and suitcases 11  lined up on the front grassland, including his basketball. When he noticed the house was on fire, he took 12  out to the grassland first. And then he came back to 13  me about it. That fire had started in the basement(地下室), and it spread up into the walls and was burning the 14  we were standing on. The floor and much of the house fell down not long after we came out. The firemen said we were very 15  .

Of course, we are not friends any more.

{#blank#}8{#/blank#} (sudden), we realized that we built the deck in Jenny's backyard instead of Grandma's! {#blank#}9{#/blank#} we told the truth to Grandma, she laughed. Finally, we decided to build {#blank#}10{#/blank#} new deck for Grandma. We had a deck party after we finished working.

In a small town，there was a young boy named Ted. He was always curious about how things worked，and loved to take things apart（把……拆开）1 back together. Usually he succeeded，but sometimes he2 . Still，he enjoyed what he did. One day，while he3 his mother cook，he realized how hard it was to stir（搅拌） the sauce. He thought that there must be 4 way to do this，and he decided to think of a better way. 

Ted took out his tools and began to work. After a busy afternoon，he created a new invention. He took apart a broken wood mixer（搅拌器） and then connected a motor （电动机），it was able to stir things by itself 5 it got power from the motor. It was so convenient that anyone 6 stir the sauce easily and quickly.

11 mum's support，Ted decided to bring it to school and introduce it to his eight 12 schoolmates. Suddenly，Ted's invention became a big hit in his school. They used it 13 drinks or stir any kind of sauce at lunch，and it was also easy to clean and store. In School Science Festival，Ted even received 14 prize from the school principal for his creativity and intelligence. 

Perhaps not everyone can be an inventor. However，it is always meaningful to15 what you are really interested in and keep going like Ted.

My English teacher, Elaine, is like a big sister to us, who always cares for her students. Once I {#blank#}1{#/blank#} (遭受) from menstrual cramps (痛经), but I couldn't find my water{#blank#}2{#/blank#} (瓶子). She showed up like an angel and brought it to me with hot water in it. I was {#blank#}3{#/blank#} (深深地) moved and my pain was gone. From Elaine, I also learned I should care for others as much as possible. 

I was not very good at math. Although I worked hard, I often {#blank#}4{#/blank#} (未能够；失败) to get a satisfactory (令人满意的) score. Seeing my frustration (沮丧), my math teacher Ms Gu did everything to encourage me. One day when I opened my exercise book, I was{#blank#}5{#/blank#} (惊讶的；意外的) to find that there were some words next to the mark. "Believe in yourself and keep trying!" Tears welled up (涌上) in my eyes. 

From that day on, I have {#blank#}6{#/blank#} (收到) many little notes from Ms Gu. Thanks to her love and encouragement, my math grades have improved. And I am more positive and confident now, even in the face of difficulties. 

Ms Shentu was my Chinese teacher in primary school. {#blank#}7{#/blank#} (在……期间) her free time, she would chat with students like friends. I still remember once we had a wonderful experience on a snowy day. When the class was struggling (努力) with final exam preparation, instead of pushing us to study, Ms Shentu {#blank#}8{#/blank#} (设法完成) to make some spare time from our busy schedule and let us play in the snow for a {#blank#}9{#/blank#} (全部的；整体的) lesson! Throwing snowballs and making snowmen, the students were filled with joy. Those joyful {#blank#}10{#/blank#} (回忆) will always remain vivid (生动的) in my mind.
