As a traditional and meaningful board game, weiqi was invented in China more than 4,000 years ago and it is still played until today.

The playing pieces are called stones. One player uses the {#blank#}1{#/blank#} stones and the other, black. The players take turns to play the stones on the game board. As we know, the board surface has 361 cross {#blank#}2{#/blank#} (point). The stones are placed on them.

Weiqi is also called Go in the world. Learning it can not only improve people's logical (逻辑的) thinking ability, {#blank#}3{#/blank#} also develop their calm character. That's why it is more and more popular with modern people.

In the Sui and Tang Dynasties, weiqi {#blank#}4{#/blank#} (travel) to Japan, and then to Europe in the 19th century. Now it has {#blank#}5{#/blank#} (grow) into an international competition event. So far, people from over forty {#blank#}6{#/blank#} (country) have played it. Among them, players from China, Japan and the Republic of Korea have the {#blank#}7{#/blank#} (high) level of weiqi.

On February 19, 2021, Chinese-English Dictionary of Weiqi Term (术语) came out in Beijing. It's the {#blank#}8{#/blank#} (one) professional (专业的) dictionary about weiqi in China. As a symbol {#blank#}9{#/blank#} Chinese culture, weiqi has its special language. The dictionary will be used as a necessary tool and bridge for {#blank#}10{#/blank#} (spread) weiqi culture.

Jesselyn Silva's everyday life isn't like most young girls' life. She runs, hits a punching bag and spars with her coach after school. As a world-class boxer, Jesselyn is exactly different from other girls.

Jesselyn trains hard every day in Hackensack, New Jersey, a town about 15 miles outside New York City. She started boxing when she was seven years old. Jesselyn said, "One day I saw my dad hitting a punching bag and I wanted to do what he was doing." Then she had a dream to be one of the best female boxers.

One of the things she enjoys most about boxing is the tight-knit circle, in which a group of people are closely connected with each other. She said, "Everyone gets along and I like how everyone treats each other." She and her father have made many friends through the sport.

Jesselyn has her autobiography（自传）, My Corner of the Ring, which is an inspirational story of her journey in boxing. She wrote it to encourage other girls to let go of their fears of competing. Jesselyn thinks boxing is about facing fears and overcoming them. "It may seem scary at first, but once you start and stand on the ring（拳击台）, it's really fun. It takes a lot of hard work to win," she said, "and if you have a desire to be great, you must try your best."

Jesselyn believes that female boxers are getting more and more attention. Her dream is to become a pro, go to the Paris 2024 Olympic Games and become an Olympic champion. With her hard work, Jesselyn seems to be on the way to making her dreams come true.

The Palace Museum is becoming zero-waste. The "Palace Museum Zero Waste" project, which was launched (发起) in 2020, aims to achieve the goal of "reducing waste to close to zero".

In 2021, a bull-shaped sculpture (雕像) called Funiu ci jiu was on show in the Cining Palace area. 92% of the sculpture material came from the recycled waste in the Palace Museum, a total of 320 kg. After a series of processing (加工), the waste had been changed from waste to beauty. The museum also recycled more than 32,000 plastic bottles to make cultural and creative products (文创产品) between June 2021 and October 2023, reducing carbon emission (碳排放) by 931 kg. In the last three years, the number of dustbins in areas open to the public has reduced to 110 sets.

The "Palace Museum Zero Waste" project will be further introduced to more people. So far, about 3,000 museum workers, 40,000 tourist guides, and 21 million visitors have taken part in the project. In this way, they can not only learn historical knowledge, but also experience the modern waste practice and get into the habits of creating less waste.

The Americans believe that anybody can become President of the United States. In a recent Hollywood comedy (喜剧), that is exactly what happens. 

Dave Kovic, played by Kevin Kline, is a kind-hearted man who runs a business that finds people jobs. He leads a typical (典型的) American way of life, except for one thing — he looks exactly like the President, Bill Mitchell. In fact, the only thing that makes him different from the nation's leader is that he is very nice! 

The president has started using look-alikes during some public appearances. Dave is offered a chance to "serve his country" by becoming one. However, things go wrong. The President becomes very ill and Dave ends up acting as the President forever.

Writing a story can be a fun and creative way to express your ideas and imagination(想象). But how do you go from a white page to a good story? Here are some tips to help you get started. 

Choosing a Topic

 The first step in writing a story is choosing a topic. Think about what you enjoy reading or what interests you. It could be adventure, fantasy, detective, romance tale, or myth. 

Understanding the Story Mountain

 The Story Mountain is a visual tool that helps you organize(组织) your story:

· Background(Introduction):

 This is where you introduce your main characters, setting, and any background information that's important for the reader to know. It sets the stage for the rest of the story and it should be written according to the topic. 

· Rising Action:

 This is the part where the story starts to move forward. Things happen and lead to conflicts(争执) or problems for your characters. It's important to create tension(紧张气氛) and keep the readers on their toes. 

· Climax(高潮):

 This is the most exciting part of the story. It's the turning point where the main conflict reaches its highest point. Often, this is where the biggest revelation(内情) or twists happens. 

· Falling Action:

 After the climax, the tension starts to lighten. This is where the characters face the outcome of the climax and start to move towards solving the main problem. 

· Resolution: This is the end of the story. It's where all the loose ends are tied up, and the main problem is resolved(解决). The resolution gives the reader a sense of closure and satisfaction(满足). 

Creating Characters

 Your characters are the heart of your story. You' ll need at least one main character and some other characters around. Sometimes, bad characters are important to the story too. Take time to develop them. Give them names, personalities, backgrounds, and goals. Think about how they would react to different situations. Conflict between characters can drive the story forward and keep it interesting. 

 With your topic, structure, and characters in place, it's time to start writing. And after finishing the draft(草稿), you should check and read it for many times to make it successful.
