Animals United is a 3-D German cartoon by Reinhard Klooss and Holger Tappe. It is  {#blank#}1{#/blank#}story about animals that get together to find water. Along  {#blank#}2{#/blank#} (they) journey, lots of funny things happen, and of course, they have a lot of adventures.

The animals in the grasslands in Africa are waiting  {#blank#}3{#/blank#}the coming flood(洪水).However, this year's flood seems to come later than in other. {#blank#}4{#/blank#}(year). The animals become upset and worried.

At the same time, some animals from other places come to the grasslands  {#blank#}5{#/blank#} (look)for peace. However, the situation seems  {#blank#}6{#/blank#} (bad) because the water is becoming less and less.  {#blank#}7{#/blank#} they decide to look for the river.

 {#blank#}8{#/blank#} (final), they find the reason why they don't have enough water to drink. Humans(人)  {#blank#}9{#/blank#} (set) up a dam(水坝) already so that they can have a better life. After  {#blank#}10{#/blank#}(fight) with humans for a long time, they let the world know that animals are in danger.

I like the cartoon story. It tells that humans should know animals have their own world.

Su Shi, known as Su Dongpo, was a famous Chinese writer, poet and painter.

When he was young, he read a lot of books and wrote many good articles. People thought {#blank#}1{#/blank#} (high) of him. Because of this, he became very proud and wrote a couplet (对联) for {#blank#}2{#/blank#} (him).

Knowing all the words in the world;

Reading all the books on the earth.

A wise old man saw this couplet and thought, "It is necessary for Su Shi {#blank#}3{#/blank#} (learn) how to be modest." So, one day, he came to Su Shi's house with a book.

The old man showed Su Shi the book and explained, "So far, I {#blank#}4{#/blank#} (read) the book several times, but there are still some difficult words that I can't understand. I have asked many people, but none of them could understand their {#blank#}5{#/blank#} (meaning). I have heard that you are a person of rich knowledge, so I come to ask you."

Full of confidence, Su Shi took the book from the old {#blank#}6{#/blank#} (man) hand, but when he opened it, he became very {#blank#}7{#/blank#} (surprise) because there were many words he didn't know. At that moment, Su Shi realized that there were many more things that he had to learn.

Actually, the old man knew every word in this book. He just wanted to make Su Shi know the importance of {#blank#}8{#/blank#} (be) modest. Su Shi was embarrassed (尴尬的) and said, "Now I know why you came. I shouldn't have been so arrogant (自大的)."

The old man smiled and {#blank#}9{#/blank#} (leave). Then Su Shi quickly took his brush and ink, and added some words to the couplet:

Working hard to know all the words in the world;

Being determined to read all the books on the earth.

 From then on, he worked even {#blank#}10{#/blank#} (hard) than before. Finally, Su Shi made great achievements in many fields, especially in literature.

 One early morning, I woke up by a telephone call. It was from a taxi driver. He told me he had my {#blank#}1{#/blank#} (friend) cell phone . My friend Michael {#blank#}2{#/blank#}( leave) it in the taxi the night before. {#blank#}3{#/blank#} driver called others, but I was the first one to answer his call.

 It was {#blank#}4{#/blank#} . rainy morning. For taxi drivers in this big city, it's the best time {#blank#}5{#/blank#}(make) money. He asked me where he could drop the cell phone off. I told {#blank#}6{#/blank#}(he) the streets where I lived. Then I {#blank#}7{#/blank#}(quick) jumped out of bed and got dressed, so I could meet him at the corner

 When he arrived, I thanked him. And I was even {#blank#}8{#/blank#} (happy) than my friend. He moved to this country a few weeks ago— and I could only imagine how important his ceIl phone was to him! I asked the taxi driver for his name, so my friend could thank him. He said my {#blank#}9{#/blank#}(thank) were all that he needed. Then he drove off.

I e-mailed my friend telling him I had his phone. In the evening, he came to my home and I told him {#blank#}10{#/blank#} I got it. My friend was very excited to get back his cell phone. He said he would help others as much as possible.
