Hey, friends! Have you ever heard {#blank#}1{#/blank#} my grandfather, Mr Sun? He is {#blank#}2{#/blank#} to speak three languages: Chinese, English and French. My grandfather is a good{#blank#}3{#/blank#} . If there is something wrong with your teeth, you can go to see my grandfather. Last year my grandfather retired. He {#blank#}4{#/blank#} my city and went to the countryside. He built a small house and lived there {#blank#}5{#/blank#} . Well, I found my grandfather never felt {#blank#}6{#/blank#} in the countryside. In fact he had a great time. Every day many old people went to see him. When the{#blank#}7{#/blank#} was sunny and warm, they usually sat under the tree in front of his house. They talked {#blank#}8{#/blank#} watched his cat climbing the tree. And they {#blank#}9{#/blank#} his parrot sing in the tree. If you also visit his house in the countryside, you'll {#blank#}10{#/blank#} in love with it. Next weekend I'll go to see him.

    I go to school from Monday to Friday. I have seven{#blank#}1{#/blank#}every day. Class {#blank#}2{#/blank#}at eight o'clock.

    I have English, Chinese and Math every day. On Monday I have {#blank#}3{#/blank#}art class. I can draw pictures .On Tuesday and Thursday I have two P.E. classes. I can do {#blank#}4{#/blank#}. I like Wednesday{#blank#}5{#/blank#}because I have a history class that day. I want to learn something about the {#blank#}6{#/blank#}We do morning exercises every day at school. Morning exercises begin at twenty past nine and {#blank#}7{#/blank#}at twenty to ten. I can also do outdoor{#blank#}8{#/blank#}every day at school. My school life is colorful. I like it very much.

    I'm Kate. I like sports very much.  I {#blank#}1{#/blank#} a ping-pong bat, a ping-pong ball and a basketball. I always play basketball  {#blank#}2{#/blank#} class. It's easy for me and it's  {#blank#}3{#/blank#}. Some of my  {#blank#}4{#/blank#} like baseball. I think it's  {#blank#}5{#/blank#} and I can't play it well. but I like watching it on TV. It's good for me to do  {#blank#}6{#/blank#} every day.

    Today many trees in forests are cut down. A lot of land has become desert (沙漠). If you read  {#blank#}1{#/blank#} you'll learn that the forests on the .earth are getting smaller all the time. Some scientists {#blank#}2{#/blank#} that there will not be any great forests in 20 or 30 years.

    What will {#blank#}3{#/blank#}  if all forests disappear? A 10t of plants will die and animals will {#blank#}4{#/blank#} their home. Farmland will soon {#blank#}5{#/blank#} into desert. There won't enough rain and the weather will be  {#blank#}6{#/blank#} and dry. The life will be {#blank#}7{#/blank#} for everyone. Our living {#blank#}8{#/blank#} will become worse and worse. It is our duty to {#blank#}9{#/blank#} the forests. Everyone should try {#blank#}10{#/blank#} best to take care of forests. Stop cutting down trees and make the world greener!

    When a wolf was walking near a village, he met a dog. It {#blank#}1{#/blank#} to be a very bony(瘦骨嶙峋的)dog. The wolf had not been hungrier than usual. So he began to move {#blank#}2{#/blank#}towards the dog, while the dog backed away.

    "Let me remind you," said the dog. "it will be an unhappy thing for you to eat me now. Look at {#blank#}3{#/blank#}ribs(肋骨). I am nothing but skin and bone. But let me tell you something in private. {#blank#}4{#/blank#} a few days my master will give a wedding feast (宴会) for his only daughter.

    You can guess how fine and fat I will be on the leftovers(残羹剩饭) from the table.

    The wolf couldn't help thinking how nice it would be to cat a fine and fat dog instead of the bony one. So he went away.

    Some days later, the wolf came back for the promised feast. He found the dog in his {#blank#}6{#/blank#}yard, and asked him to come out and was ready to eat him.

    "Sir," said the dog. "I shall be glad to have you cat me. I will be out as {#blank#}7{#/blank#}as

the porter(看门的人) opens the door."

    {#blank#}8{#/blank#} the "porter" was a huge dog to be very unkind towards wolves, which the wolf knew by a {#blank#}9{#/blank#}experience. He learnt an important lesson {#blank#}10{#/blank#}what you can get when you can get it. So he decided not to wait and ran away as fast as possible.

①Giethoorn is a magical village in northern Netherlands. It's so fantastic that some people have a hard time believing it's real. Although the small village has no roads or cars, it has plenty of boats!

②Giethoorn's most noticeable feature(特色) is its canals(运河). They serve as the village's roads. With the feature, it gets another name" Dutch Venice". Local people get around by boat or bicycle, and if they have cars, they have to park them outside the village. Boats are certainly the most important ways of transportation(运输). Bridges connect most homes and businesses, but some houses can only be reached by water. That's why postmen have to send mails by boat. 

③The second thing that visitors notice is the quiet. With a population of just over 2, 700 and without any noisy traffic, the village is what many people call a quiet oasis(绿洲). "In Netherlands'water village, the loudest sound you can normally hear is the sound of a duck or the noise made by birds, " a villager there said. 

④But that isn't to say the village is not a popular place. In fact, it has become a place of interest, offering comfortable hotels and delicious meals at waterside restaurants. 

⑤With all those wonderful views, Giethoorn is a perfect place for holiday. Would you go there if you had a chance? Visiting Giethoorn is certainly on many persons'tour list. We only have one question: When can we order the air ticket to Netherlands?
