Have you ever been so worried about something that you have a headache or even can't sleep at night? Then you cannot pay enough attention during a test or to your study. If so, then you know that is stress. You are worried too much about something. The bad feelingin your mind can make you angry, sad, or scared, and can even give you a stomachache or a headache.
However, some kind of stress is good. Excitement might happen when you are called to give a speech at school. You feel nervous but excited. This kind of stress can help you to get things well done. And you may do a better job in your test if the stress pushes you to prepare more beforehand.
On the other hand, bad stress can last long if you are unable to come over your problems. You may not feel well, if your parents are having a quarrel, if a family member is badly ill, if you're doing poorly at school, or if anything else makes you unhappy. That kind of stress isn't going to help you.And it can actually let you do worse in your daily life.
The best way to fight the stress is to have a balanced life.Make sure you get enough sleep and eat properly.Have some regular exercise. You should spend some time for fun.Get advice from your parents, teachers and friends.Soon after that, you'll probably get away with your stress.

Hi, David,
Guess what? I'm writing to you from Beijing! It's my first summer holiday abroad, and here I'm in China! I'm going to learn Chinese for two weeks at a summer camp. Then my parents are going to join me here. I plan to spend another two weeks here and go on a tour around the country with them. It's going to be very exciting! We're going to visit the Great Wall and the Palace Museum in Beijing. Then we're going to be in Xi'an from July 24th to 27th. My dad says he's going to take lots of photos of the Terracotta Warriors. After that, we're going to Jiuzhaigou. It's famous for its beautiful mountains and clear lakes. Our last stop on the trip is Sanya. My mum's going to spend lots of time on the beach, but I'm going to swim in the sea every day.
OK, I have to go. I'm going to meet my Chinese penfriend, Daming. He's going to take me to the Bird's Nest tonight. There's going to be a rock concert there. I can't wait!
Yours,
David

Dear Mum and Dad,
We have some exciting news for you. Jenny is going to have a baby! {#blank#}1{#/blank#} At first, the doctor said she might have some trouble with the baby. Now he says she is just fine. She is very healthy and happy! She still works on her paintings every day. {#blank#}2{#/blank#} She gets tired more quickly now.
{#blank#}3{#/blank#} We're moving to New York! We want to be closer to you and Jane. It's much nicer to be near the family. Jenny grew up in Mexico, and she doesn't have a family member here. So that makes you even more important for us.
Jenny is a little worried about working in New York. {#blank#}4{#/blank#} In Italy her paintings are already popular. But I'm sure people will like her in New York. {#blank#}5{#/blank#} I'm still working for the New York Times. I'll be writing about the United Nations in New York. We're planning to move next month.
See you then!
Yours,
Jim
