There is a woman living in New York．She is heavy and tall.She doesn't have a1 ， and she doesn't make money．She is just in her2every day and never goes out．Her husband(丈夫)is a thin and short man．He3in a small station．Every Friday,the man has to give all his wages(工资)from his4to the woman，and the woman gives just a little money back to him so he can5 lunch．She never gives the man more money6she thinks her husband still keeps some money．

    One day,the small man is very happy．He comes back home7a lottery ticket (彩票)in his hand．The woman asks，"8are you so happy?""I won(赢)$1，000 in the lottery,"the man says．

    "You are9!"the woman says．Some minutes later,she asks．"How can you have money to10for a lottery ticket?"

    The Black family like to do things together. Each Saturday they1each other with the work.

    Today Peter and Jean cleaned their2. They made the bed, swept the floor, cleaned the windows and took out the3. Then Jean put some beautiful flowers on the table. Dad went to the store to4food for next week. He knew about everyone's5food in the family. He was6he would make everyone glad. Mom washed the clothes of all the family. That made her tired,7happy. Then Jean helped Mom water the flowers in the8.  Peter helped Dad fix his bike. Soon they finished9the work.

    "Now we can have some fun," said Dad. "What will we do or10will we go?"

    Everyone had an idea. They decided to ride bikes to the seaside. It is wonderful that the family like to work and play together.

    Ernest Hemingway, the son of a doctor and a music teacher, was born in 1899 in Oak Park, Illinois. Hemingway's father{#blank#}1{#/blank#}(teach) him early on how to hunt and fish, two activities Hemingway loved throughout his life. Instead of {#blank#}2{#/blank#}(go) to college, Hemingway became a reporter for the Kansas City Star.

As he put it, "I always try {#blank#}8{#/blank#}(write) on the principle(原则) of the iceberg(冰山). There is seven eighths of it under water for every part that shows. "This style continues to influence Writers today. In his career(生涯), which lasted some 40 years, Hemingway earned the Pulitzer Prize and the Nobel Prize. He was one of the finest writers of the{#blank#}9{#/blank#}(twenty) century.

    For a while Emest Hemingway lived in Key West, Florida, where he had nearly 50 cats. One of them was a cat with six toes(脚趾), which a ship's captain had given him. Today his Key West home is a museum, and many cats still live there. Some of them are {#blank#}10{#/blank#}(child) of Hemingway's six-toed cat. Hemingway was married four times and had three sons. He died in 1961.
