Nowadays, we are in a modern society. Everybody should be p{#blank#}1{#/blank#} in public. But sometimes some people like to c{#blank#}2{#/blank#} in line when they buy tickets or get on the bus or subway. They take other's places as well as time when they are in line, so it is i{#blank#}3{#/blank#}. I can't s{#blank#}4{#/blank#} that. Sometimes, I even get mad when I see them cut in line.

    When this h{#blank#}5{#/blank#}, I often say, “Would you mind w{#blank#}6{#/blank#} in line? ” But sometimes some of them are angry w{#blank#}7{#/blank#} me and they say, “It's none of your business. ” So I f{#blank#}8{#/blank#} angrier. Then I only tell it to the people who sell the tickets. At last the people who are breaking the r{#blank#}9{#/blank#} of etiquette don't get their tickets. So I am happy and the people who cut in line are u{#blank#}10{#/blank#}.

    Putting on a play can be fun. Acting can be like the “let's pretend and dress-up games children play. Actors pretend（扮演）,for a little while, to be other people. They t{#blank#}1{#/blank#}to look like and talk as other persons do.

    Professional（职业的） actors take part in plays and television programs given in large cities. They make their .l{#blank#}2{#/blank#} by acting. But other people act in plays just for fun and are not p{#blank#}3{#/blank#}for their work. They are high school or college students and adults who are members of “little theatre” groups. In the d{#blank#}4{#/blank#}, they are students, teachers, doctors, lawyers, or police officers. They are actors o{#blank#}5{#/blank#}in the evenings or on weekends.

    The little theater groups has a long history in America. One of the o{#blank#}6{#/blank#}groups is in Indiana. They are called the Players Club, and they put on eight plays a year. People in the city buy tickets to see the plays. A{#blank#}7{#/blank#}who wants to act may join the Players Club. Before each play, auditions（试演） are held so that people can try o{#blank#}8{#/blank#}for the different parts. Not all members of the group are actors. People are also needed to h{#blank#}9{#/blank#}with the lighting, clothes and makeup.

    There are little theater groups in many cities. They continue to put on plays because they bring p{#blank#}10{#/blank#}to a large number of people. People in a little theater group enjoy having the chance to act, and the audience enjoy watching the plays.

    Long ago, there was a big cat in the house. He was strong {#blank#}1{#/blank#} he caught many mice while they were stealing food, {#blank#}2{#/blank#} all the mice were afraid of it. One day the mice had a meeting to talk about the way to deal with their common enemy. They didn't agree with each other. Some said this, {#blank#}3{#/blank#} some said that.

    At last a young mouse got up {#blank#}4{#/blank#} said that he had a good idea, "We could tie a bell around the neck of the cat. {#blank#}5{#/blank#} when he comes near, we can hear the sound of the bell {#blank#}6{#/blank#} run away."

    Everyone approved of this proposal (建议), {#blank#}7{#/blank#} an old wise mouse got up and said, "That is all very well, {#blank#}8{#/blank#} who will tie the bell to the cat?" The mice looked at each other, {#blank#}9{#/blank#} nobody spoke. Until now, they haven't decided whether it is a good idea {#blank#}10{#/blank#} not.
