     I am the senior student. I appreciate make friends with people and I do my best to be on good term with everyone. But in last week I found that one of my friends told another classmate, saying that she disliked me and that she doesn't want to be my friend any longer.     When I was young, I was terribly poor in the Chinese. Be afraid of expressing myself was one of the reasons that I rarely did well in school. Once I failed in a mid-term exam. When I got the papers, I realized things could have been better if I listened to the teacher much more attentive. So I turned to my teacher for helps and he told me, "Where there is a will, there is a way. If we are devoted to learning Chinese, you'll make it." I couldn't agree much. From then on, I began to work harder. Out of my expect, I made great progress soon. Today, Chinese is where my strength lies. And I'm grateful for my Chinese teacher.

    It was in a mountain area where I went hiking with my friends last summer. It was the good trip in the beginning but something unexpecting happened later. One of my friend suddenly felt a terrible pain in his stomach and he couldn't move any farther. Nobody knew how to deal it. One girl tried to call her mom, and there was no signal in the mountain area. Worried about him, we put up a tent that we brought with and let him to rest in it. After taking some pills, he drink some water and ate some food. Fortunate, he felt much better and we walked on. We all enjoyed us on the top of the mountain.

    Nowadays, people argue a lot about if or not to celebrate western festivals, as western festivals are becoming more and more popular in China, especial among young people. They said they celebrate western festivals because they are exciting than Chinese festivals. In my opinion, western festivals are basing on the cultural traditions of the western country, and I see no reason why we should celebrate their festivals. We are Chinese, and we mustn't forget our cultural roots. In fact, Chinese cultural traditions are really great, but we should take pride in it. On a word, I am prefer Chinese festivals.
