I have three good friends, Jill, Anna and Rick. I get on well {#blank#}1{#/blank#} them. We live in a small village. There is no middle {#blank#}2{#/blank#}in the village. So we have to go to school in a town. The town school is far from our village, {#blank#}3{#/blank#} 30 kilometers. It's very difficult for us to {#blank#}4{#/blank#} or ride to school.     We all have dreams. Anna and Rick want to be teachers, Jill's {#blank#}8{#/blank#} is to be a musician. I want to be {#blank#}9{#/blank#} kungfu star. And we all believe {#blank#}10{#/blank#} dreams can come true one day.

    A young husband {#blank#}1{#/blank#}(lose) his life in a war. He left behind his wife, Mary and his son, Jimmy. Mary and Jimmy were very poor and their life was very hard. The wife tried her best to look after her son with the best {#blank#}2{#/blank#}(educate).

    Jimmy studied hard and became {#blank#}3{#/blank#} engineer. He moved to a city and found a good job there. He used to write letters and sent {#blank#}4{#/blank#} to his mother. There was lots of money and a piece of paper. It said, "My son. Here {#blank#}9{#/blank#}(be) the money you sent to me. I don't spend much money. I miss you a lot. Every time I hear a car passing by, I run out of the door. But it wasn't my son, I saved the money for you. You can use it {#blank#}10{#/blank#} you get sick."

    Travel can teach kids more than a textbook. Travelling with kids is good {#blank#}1{#/blank#}them. They can find new interests. Travel makes information alive for kids, and makes it much more exciting than studying textbooks or{#blank#}2{#/blank#}experiments in the lab. While traveling, they learn{#blank#}3{#/blank#}to deal with new situations, and communicate with other people. They learn patience, because sometimes {#blank#}4{#/blank#}takes a long time to get to some exciting or interesting places.

    I've been traveling since I was seven years old. For me, to stop traveling would be like taking something {#blank#}5{#/blank#}from my soul(灵魂). I can't live without traveling and I wouldn't be who I am if I don't travel. Some people think it's {#blank#}6{#/blank#}to travel after having kids. But in my opinion, when people become parents, it doesn't mean they couldn't travel any more. My children have been traveling since they were three weeks old.

    Bringing a new life into the world comes with many responsibilities(责任)and I'd love to be a good mother. One of my duties is to educate my children. I'm{#blank#}7{#/blank#}thankful that my parents took me on family trips when I was young. I've learned that {#blank#}8{#/blank#}outside world is more colorful than the little one I was living in.
