Deng Feng is my friend．He is{#blank#}1{#/blank#}and interested in music．He usually gets up at 6：00 in the morning and then he does some{#blank#}2{#/blank#}in the park．He likes to listen to{#blank#}3{#/blank#}music When exercising．Before going to bed，he listens to some{#blank#}4{#/blank#}of light music．Sometimes he'd like to enjoy traditional Chinese music．He{#blank#}5{#/blank#}it's a good way to relax．Some day,he will study music and be a musician．

    Now the idea of "car sharing (分享)"is popular around the world. That's to say,{#blank#}1{#/blank#}people are sharing the use of a car. Not everyone has a car. Think about it--although many families today have one car, a lot of them don't use it every day. Some {#blank#}2{#/blank#}stay in garages (车库)  most of their time. When we don't use them, we have to pay for parking (停车) and other things. That {#blank#}3{#/blank#}a lot of money. To save (节省){#blank#}4{#/blank#}, some people {#blank#}5{#/blank#} the idea of " car sharing". If we share a car, we only pay when we use it. Now more and more people {#blank#}6{#/blank#}starting to do car sharing. In Switzerland, about 40,000 people are doing it. Car sharing is a new idea in transportation. It is also very {#blank#}7{#/blank#}for us to go everywhere without (不) buying a car.

    The United Nations made the day in 1996.It wants different countries to know each other {#blank#}2{#/blank#} by watching TV. Today, there are more than 1 billion televisions around the world. In many countries, televisions even go into places without electricity. They use the batteries to watch TV.

    Television is a {#blank#}3{#/blank#} in the world. Without TV, we couldn't watch the Olympic Games. We couldn't see our favourite shows or the NBA. Without TV, we could not meet Mickey Mouse and Donald Duck. We would {#blank#}4{#/blank#} many great concerts. We could not share them with our friends.

    Television can be very good. It can teach people about the world around them. It can show us we are in many ways the same as our neighbours, near and far.

    George Wilson was the owner of a watch shop. One day he told his son James," I'll teach you all I know about watches."

    For the first few weeks, James looked after the front of the shop. He worked hard and was {#blank#}1{#/blank#} to the customers(顾客). George was very pleased with(对...... 很满意) him.

    After about six months, James said to his father," "Is there anything else you want to teach me?"

    "That's true. But we don't make most of the money from it." He picked up a watch from the counter(柜台)."What do you think of this watch?"

    "That's a cheap watch. We can only get few dollars from {#blank#}4{#/blank#}  it."

    "You are wrong, my son," George said," those cheap ones get {#blank#}5{#/blank#} money to us than any other watch in the shop."

    "I don't understand," James said.

    "Because they are really cheap, they are always breaking, and we make our money from fixing them."
