Though this is the first time for them to visit Shanghai, the couple {#blank#}1{#/blank#}(fall) in love with the fantastic place deeply.

    When I was a little girl, I remember that when my dad was repairing something, every time he asked me {#blank#}1{#/blank#}(hold)the hammer(锤子) for him, just so we would have a time for a conversation  with each other. I never saw my dad {#blank#}2{#/blank#}(drink) or taking a night out. All he did after work was taking care of his family.

    I grew up and left home for college and since then, my dad had been calling me every Sunday morning, no matter what. And when several years {#blank#}3{#/blank#} ( late), I bought a house, my dad was painting  it by himself for three days in the 38℃ summer heat. All he asked was to hold his paint brush and talk to him. But I was too busy in those days. I did not find any time for a conversation with my dad.

    One Sunday morning we had a telephone talk as {#blank#}4{#/blank#}(usually), I noticed that my dad had totally forgotten some things that we talked {#blank#}5{#/blank#}(late). I was in a hurry, so our conversation was a bit short. Few hours later that day came a call. My father was in a hospital  with an aneurysm(动脉瘤). Immediately I {#blank#}6{#/blank#}(buy)a ticket for a flight and on my way I {#blank#}7{#/blank#}(think) about all special occasions(场合) to have a talk with my dad.

    By the time I {#blank#}8{#/blank#}(arrive) at the hospital, my father had passed away. Now it was he who did not have time for a conversation with me. After his {#blank#}9{#/blank#} (die), I learned much about him, and even {#blank#}10{#/blank#} (much) about myself. All he ever asked me was my time. And now he has all my attention every single day.

In the world that we are creating very quickly, there might be some new kinds of jobs in the future. Robots will become more common in our homes and schools, so we' ll need people who know {#blank#}1{#/blank#} to fix them. These workers will be like robot doctors. They will {#blank#}2{#/blank#} what's wrong with a robot and help it get better. As AI(人工智能) is developing {#blank#}3{#/blank#} , we' ll need people to check that it works properly. We call these people AI rule keepers. They will make sure that AI will do something {#blank#}4{#/blank#} to humans.

 The best way to get ready for these future jobs is to be open to new {#blank#}5{#/blank#} and never stop learning. Knowledge is important, and problem solving skills will be needed for our future education and work.

What will our homes be like in the future? Here are some {#blank#}1{#/blank#} (predict):

{#blank#}2{#/blank#} you want to take a shower when you get home, you'll be able to let your smart water heater (热水器) start heating up when you're on your way home.

Did I turn off the oven? Did I close the window? Everyone may have a moment like that. But in the future, your home {#blank#}3{#/blank#} (check) these for you.

In your home of the future, all of your devices can work together to make your life {#blank#}4{#/blank#} (comfortable). When you turn on the lights in the morning, your windows will open {#blank#}5{#/blank#} the same time. The lights will slowly turn off by {#blank#}6{#/blank#} (they) after the sun appears. 

Your home may have dangers. The hackers (黑客) could succeed in {#blank#}7{#/blank#} (open) your door and causing a mess at your home through the Internet. Your home will tell you about it but you can't arrive home {#blank#}8{#/blank#} (quick). So people will have to be {#blank#}9{#/blank#} (care) of their personal information. 

As technology is developing now, we can expect {#blank#}10{#/blank#} (make) our life better.
