    I am writing to ask for whether you are able to do me a favor. I want to have a pen pal, hopefully a girl in the early twenties, and with interests similarly to mine.     One day，on her way to school，Li Lan found the small bag near the bus station．He opened it and found a lot of money as soon as a calling card inside．From the calling card，she discover the owner's address and his telephone number．She thought the owner must very worried．So she went to the public telephones and called the owner．Then she waited at the bus station．The owner came by taxi very soon，but Li Lan gave the bag to him．The owner is so grateful to her that he took out from 100yuan to reward Li Lan，but Li Lan polite refused it and went on to school．

Dear Mum and Dad

    We're having a wonderful time in Australia. There is so much to see that it is impossible for me to tell you everything. During past three days, we've travelled a lot around Sydney. We went to the zoo, on where we saw many animals that can only be found in Australia. We spent some time relaxing in the sunshine at the beach, but we went to Pitt Street and wander around for a bit while we did some shopping. Though I would like to spend more time here, the locally guide told us that we will fly to Cairns tomorrow. It's said that word cannot describe the beauty of the ocean near Cairns. Now everybody is busy packed so that we will not lose time when we set off. This time tomorrow we will be enjoying the ocean near Cairns. I can't wait!

    Because I have much more to tell you, I must go to bed now so that I can get up early and get to the airport on time. Please send my best wishes to Granny and tell she that I am coming back soon.

    Yesterday afternoon, our school held on a fire drill. We were listening the teacher carefully in the English class when we heard the fire alarm. The teacher told us to calm down and instruct us to leave a classroom in order immediately. When we got into the passage, we found they were surrounded by smoke. It was becoming difficult to breathe but to find tine way out. Finally, with our mouths covering with wet towels, we bent down and got out of the teaching building so quickly as possible. Through the fire drill I now realize what dangerous it is when there is a fire and that we should know how to escape from a fire on case of emergency.

    It was raining hardly. In his way home from school Peter saw an old man walking with difficult in the rain without an umbrella. Peter went up to him and offered share the umbrella with him. The old man is in poor health, so Peter tried to hold the umbrella. But he was so short to hold it high enough. While wondering how to do, he saw the old man's stick and had an idea. He had tied the stick to the handle of the umbrella and made them longer. Now we shared the umbrella. Peter was happy.

    I still remember the first day I come to this new school. Everything was new to me, that made me realize I was no longer a small child. I had to depend on me. Luckily, I made several good friend. Their interests were similar with mine. I had great English teacher, Maggie. She let me know the important of English. So I decided to learn English hardly. Although it was very difficult at first, but with the help of my teacher, I made rapidly progress. Just as the old saying goes," Where there is a will, there is a way."
