New to Hindi language cinema? We've got you covered! Dhaliwal has created a list of the best Bollywood movies for beginners.

    Mughal-e-Azam (1960)

Mughal-e-Azam tells the tale of a Mughal prince's romance with a court dancer. The film's dialogue, music, and the breathtaking chemistry of the leading couple have been buried in the minds of generations.

    Dilwale Dulhania Le Jayenge (1995)

Nothing could possibly go wrong given Dilwale Dulhania Le Jayenge's winning blend: an all-star cast, super-hit music, and to top it all, an excellent script. If you were to watch only one Indian film to get an idea of what most of us go to the movies for, let it be this one.

    Lagaan (2001)

Bringing together the top three things that Indians absolutely love – the sport of cricket, superstar Aamir Khan and patriotism (爱国主义) – Lagaan is nothing short of great. The story focuses on an Indian village standing up by challenging the British to a cricket match. It's no wonder that it's one of the only three Bollywood movies to have ever been nominated (提名) for Best Foreign Language Film at the Oscars.

    Wake Up Sid (2009)

The reason why Wake Up Sid is well-received is the simplicity with which it explores the modern relationships of urban youth. At the core of the story is a sweet, heartfelt romance between a girl struggling to find her place in a new city and a boy trying to find himself. There's also a gentle underlying romance with the remarkable city – Mumbai.

Everyone takes drugs. Sometimes a drug might be called a herb but the effect is the same. Drugs and herbs can make life better for they are used to improve health. From the simplest headache to a cure for cancer, people believe that certain drugs can help them. But there is danger if the drugs are not used in a proper way.

American teenagers sometimes use certain drugs to feel good. They call this “getting high”. The problem is that once a young man or a young woman has the feeling of “getting high”, they want to do it often. If school is boring or too hard, students might get depressed and a drug or herb might help them feel better. If the student takes too much of a drug, the body may change in a wrong way such as a confused mind, poor sight, a headache, and an uncomfortable stomach.

Schools now have D.A.R.E.program which means Drug Abuse Resistance Education. This program was started so that young students from age 10 to 18 might understand how a drug affects their bodies. The main point of the program is education. Once a student understands certain drugs can cause ill health,he will know he should not use them.

Education is the key to good nutrition as well. If a student eats correctly, he or she will be full of energy which leads to good study habits and good grades. Poor nutrition may cause the need for more sleep and poor concentration. Proper food is similar to the proper use of drugs. Both allow a healthy body to grow while misuse of them prevents a person from developing normally.

We all need to eat. So, meals could be a chance to stop what we're doing and spend time with the people in our lives. A recent study from a team of South Korea suggests that eating together has many good effects on children and teenagers while frequently eating alone may lead to poor eating habits and poor food choices. People who eat alone more than twice a week have a greater risk of developing high blood pressure.

There are benefits of family dinners on children and teenagers.

In 2014, the Organization for Economic Cooperation and Development (OECD) looked at data from nearly three-quarters of the world's countries. Among its findings is the fact that students who share a main meal with their families are less likely to hate school. Children who eat a main meal with their families are also less likely to take drugs (毒品).

In the report, titled “The Importance of Family Dinners (VIII),'' researchers say that teens who have frequent family dinners are more likely to say their parents know a lot about what's going on in their lives.

Another study from the University of Montreal finds that children who eat with their families experience long-term physical and mental health benefits. These children are physically in better shape and drink fewer sugary soft drinks. These children also seem to have better social skills and are less violent.

One of the researchers, Pagani, involved in this study is a professor at the university. She says that mealtimes with parents possibly provide young children with firsthand social events, which helps them have better communication skills.

You may hear about some people who have walked on the moon. Of the outstanding astronauts listed below, who do you think was the most influential in human's history?

Pete Conrad (Apollo 12)

Because of his dyslexia(阅读障碍), Pete always failed in his study and had to leave school. Then his father sent him to Darrow School, where he performed so well that he won a Naval Reserve Officers Training Corps (NROTC) scholarship. He took the NASA's test, but his dyslexia ruined the opportunity.

It was because of Alan Shepard's persuasion that Pete decided to apply again for NASA. He was chosen as the commander of Apollo 12. He landed on the moon on Nov 19, 1969 and spent 31 hours there.

Neil Armstrong (Apollo 11)

Armstrong's biggest moment came in 1969, when he was chosen for NASA's first manned lunar mission (登月任务), along with Edwin Aldrin and Michael Collins. On July 21, 1969, he set foot on the surface of the moon. which made him the first human to do so. He stayed on the moon for 21 hours. After returning, Armstrong became an international star and was honored worldwide.

John Young (Apollo 16)

Young was made the commander of Apollo 16, which landed on the moon on April 16, 1972. He spent two days and 23 hours on the moon. Young retired from NASA after serving for around 42 years, which made him the man ever to work for NASA for the longest time.

Edgar Mitchell(Apollo 14)

Edgar was selected by NASA in 1966, and was later made the lunar pilot of Apollo 14. He followed his commander Alan Shepard onto the moon, staying there for 1 day and 9 hours. Edgar has expressed his firm belief that UFOS belong to other planets. He also firmly believes that American government is in possession of some “recovered alien bodies.”

Finding your feet in a new town can be hard, especially if you're covered in fur and don't speak the language. But for pets new to Marlborough, help is at hand.

Marlborough SPCA and the Railway Café, in Blenheim, have joined forces to help welcome pets and their people to the area with morning teas. They hope the morning teas will get tails and tongues wagging(狗摇摆尾巴)as well as giving advice on how to make the move easier.

Railway Café owner Leanne Harris came up with the creative plan as a way to help welcome people to the area. Leanne moved to Marlborough from Auckland two years ago and said she first struggled to find friends and feel part of the community. "Coming from Auckland I thought people would open their doors and that there would be neighbors calling round with cake. I expected people to come to me and, of course, it wasn't like that. I did get lonely." "I hope to save newcomers having to wait as long as I did to feel part of it all. I would like to welcome them to the town."

Free plates of sandwiches, cakes will be offered, for the people, while there will be special yoghurt and banana treats for the dogs. The morning teas will take place in the covered area at the back of the popular café beside the railway station off Grove Rd.

Leanne said she was happy to devote both her time and effort to giving back to the community and felt the project was a great fit with the SPCA.

"Volunteering is such an amazing thing to do and it changed things for me completely, and I met some amazing people with similar interests."

SPCA Op Shop manager Karina Greenall, originally from the United Kingdom, said she also wanted to help. "I can give advice on how to resettle pets, the best parks to go to, where the best walks are and where the Civil Service are in town." There will be volunteering chances too for people where they can help out and hopefully make friends too.
