Your mother is the most important person in your life. She helps you with your homework. If you get ill, she stays with you the w{#blank#}1{#/blank#} night. She makes your m{#blank#}2{#/blank#} every day. Your mother is a{#blank#}3{#/blank#} there for you. That's why there is a s{#blank#}4{#/blank#} day for mothers a{#blank#}5{#/blank#} the world.

Mother's Day becomes a modern holiday in the US. A woman called Anna Jarvis and her mother, Anna Reese Jarvis, live in a poor town. They work hard to m{#blank#}6{#/blank#} the town better. Jarvis' mother died(去世) on Sunday, May 14. 1905. Their church holds a Mother's Day to thank her f{#blank#}7{#/blank#} the help.

Today, people in m{#blank#}8{#/blank#} than 40 countries celebrate the day. They give their mothers carnations (康乃馨)and o{#blank#}9{#/blank#} presents. In the language of flowers, carnations stand for happiness, sweetness and l{#blank#}10{#/blank#} .

As Ginni Bazlinton reached Antarctica, she was greeted by a group of little Gentoo penguins (企鹅) who seemed happy to say hello. These lovely penguins welcomed and started a trip that Ginni would never forget. 

Ginni, now 71, has had a deep love for travel when she was young. As a professional dancer she travelled around the UK, but always hoped to find more. When she retired from dancing,  ★ 

After taking a degree at Chichester University in Related Arts, Ginni began to travel around the world and found a job teaching English in Japan and Chile. It was in Chile she discovered she could get a cheap ticket going to Antarctica from the islands off Tierra del Fuego, "I just decided I wanted to go." she says. "I had no idea about what I'd find there and I wasn't nervous. I just wanted to do it. And I wanted to do it alone as I always love it that way."

In March 2008, Ginni boarded a ship to begin the journey to Antarctica with 48 passengers. "From seeing the wildlife to enjoying sunrises, the whole experience was wonderful. Antarctica is better than any other place," Ginni says. "I remember the first time I saw a humpback whale (座头鲸): it just rose out of the water like some prehistoric creature (生物) and I thought it was smiling at us. You could still hear the beautiful sound it was making underwater."

The realization that Antarctica is a valuable and important land which needs to be respected (尊敬) by humans is the biggest thing for Ginni.

Taihang Grand Canyon National Forest Park is a natural wonder. It lies in the {#blank#}1{#/blank#} part of Huguan County. There are some sweet springs, silver chains — like waterfalls, deep pools, clear streams, interesting karst caves and forests spreading all over the {#blank#}2{#/blank#} .

I always remember the journey to go there. In the early morning, we began to {#blank#}3{#/blank#} the canyon. At first the canyon was silent. With more and more people coming, the canyon became noisy. There were so many trees and we didn' t know most of them. Some signs along the paths told us something about different sights. We heard the loud waterfalls {#blank#}4{#/blank#} we were far away from them. When we got near, we {#blank#}5{#/blank#} cool at once. The waterfalls were high and pretty. We also visited some other sights and had great fun there.
