How to Love Your Parents

    Even if you think that your parents are mean-spirited at times, loving your parents is a normal and fulfilling part of life. You love them for the fact that they created you, raised you, and are in part, a source of who you are.{#blank#}1{#/blank#}

    Tell them you love them every morning. A gentle "good morning" and "I love you" will warm a coldest heart. Remember that they brought you into this world. Without your parents, we might still wander at an unknown corner in an unknown world.

    Respect them more and cherish these moments. You can use these moments to learn from them, preparing yourself for when you're off on your own. It's OK to get angry but angry actions don't help you or your parents. Act calmly, cool off, write down your feelings, or talk to a friend.{#blank#}2{#/blank#}

    Obey their requests. It will make your attitude better and earn you more respect from them. It may seem like you are going through hell when you don't get what you want or you have to clean. However, you had better remember they keep a roof over your head when it's cold, raining, snowing, or too hot. Understand that parents are human beings and make mistakes.{#blank#}3{#/blank#} Since you can forgive your friends, why not forgive your parents?

    Keep company with them. Do things with your parents like watching TV, or go somewhere with them.{#blank#}4{#/blank#} Listen to their old stories and learn from them. You will find they are your teachers in this way or another.

How to teach a child to respect

The number is expected to rise to 8 million by 2030 unless immediate action is taken.

Studies show people who want to stop smoking can do so with different treatments. Some get help from electronic cigarettes or medicine that reduce one's desire for the drug. Dr. Nancy Rigotti works at Massachusetts General Hospital in the United States. She says she finds that medicine and services together work best of all.

    {#blank#}4{#/blank#}. It can influence the health of an entire country. The World Health Organization says low-income countries depend heavily on taxes from cigarettes. They use the money, in part, to pay the costs of health care for tobacco-related diseases.

    The World Health Organization is pushing United Nations member states to sign an agreement to end the illegal trade in tobacco products.{#blank#}5{#/blank#}. But the agreement of 32 other countries is needed for it to become international law.

Cowboys in the US

The Roundup

    Each spring and fall the cowboys would work on the “roundup”{#blank#}2{#/blank#} Cattle would walk freely much of the year and then the cowboys would need to bring them in. In order to tell what cattle belonged to their ranch, the cattle would have a special mark burned into them called a “ brand “.

Horse and Saddle (马鞍）

    The most important item of any cowboy was his horse and saddle. The saddles were often custom-made (定制的) and, next to his horse, probably the most valuable item a cowboy owned.{#blank#}3{#/blank#}

Clothing

    Cowboys wore special clothing that helped them with their jobs. They wore large 10-gallon hats to protect them from the sun and the rain. They wore special cowboy boots that helped them to get in and out of the stirrups (马镫）when riding a horse{#blank#}4{#/blank#} Many cowboys wore chaps on the outsides of their legs to help protect them from sharp bushes that their horse may rub up against.

Cowboy Code

    {#blank#}5{#/blank#} The code included such rules as being polite and respectful, always saying “howdy”, not waving at a man on a horse (you should nod) , never riding another man's horse without his permission,always helping someone in need, and never putting on another man's hat.

    Coca-Cola is probably the most famous brand in the world. Although the company is trying to present itself as a health-conscious company, you can't really say that drinking cola is healthy for you. {#blank#}1{#/blank#} And we tell ourselves that it's all okay as long as we don't overdo it. However, Coca-Cola has other functions besides drinking.

    Cola removes the tarnish(暗锈) from old pennies. Got some old rusty pennies? Not to worry! {#blank#}2{#/blank#} When you get them out, you'll have shiny pennies that will look as if they were coined a couple of days ago. If you couldn't clean those pennies with industrial acids, just buy a can of cola and let it do its magic!

    You can remove gum from your hair with cola. If you've got gum stuck in your hair and don't know a better way to get it out, don't worry, you won't have to cut it. Just pour some cola into a bowl and dip the part of your hair with gum on it inside. {#blank#}3{#/blank#}

    {#blank#}4{#/blank#}You probably know about this one. You can make an exploding fountain by putting a mint inside a two-liter bottle. Then move away from the bottle and get ready for a Coca-Cola explosion. {#blank#}5{#/blank#} Don't eat a mint and drink cola at the same time, because a similar thing could happen to your stomach.
