阅读理解

There is an old saying that all of us are born with two bags hung on our necks. The small bag in the front is filled with other people's faults (缺点), while the big one at the back is full of our own faults.

This makes it easy to find other people's faults, but hard to see our own faults behind us.

A boy named Tommy had four friends: Simon, Jack, Johnny and Harry. He saw other people's faults very quickly. When Simon was impatient (不耐烦的) with him, he said to Simon: "It's so easy for you to get angry. It is hard to be friends with you."

Later that day, Tommy told his mother about Jack's dishonesty (不诚实). "Jack often takes my things without asking." Tommy himself did not like sharing his things with anyone.

When Johnny was too tired to play with him, he said: "You are such a rude(粗鲁的) person." He thought Harry was proud(骄傲) of his rich parents. At last, he had few good friends.

If only Tommy would turn the bags around, he would find his own impatience, dishonesty, bad manners and vanity (虚荣). They were no better than that of Simon, Jack, Johnny or Harry.

(1)、According to the story, the bag filled with our own faults is hung _______.
A、on our heads B、in the front C、at the back D、in our arms
(2)、Tommy found the following in his front bag EXCEPT _______.
A、dishonesty B、patience C、rudeness D、vanity
(3)、If we divide the passage into three parts, which of the following is the best?

(①=Para.(自然段)1 ②=Para.2 ③=Para.3 ④=Para.4 ⑤=Para.5 ⑥=Para.6)

A、①; ②③④; ⑤⑥ B、①; ②③④⑤; ⑥ C、①②; ③④; ⑤⑥ D、①②; ③④⑤; ⑥
(4)、What can you learn from the story?
A、We should always find other people's faults. B、We should always "turn our bags around" to see our own faults. C、It's not easy for us to find our own faults, so we should not care about them. D、When you find other people's faults, you are helping them to be better people.

I was once asked to give a speech in English in front of several native speakers at an organization last summer. I was asked to talk about my experience. At the beginning, I explained to the organizers that I was afraid to speak without preparation. But they told me that I had better get over it. When I first stood up in front of the crowd, my mind went completely blank. But then I began to talk about my story and used some gestures and facial expressions. Although I didn't speak very well, I still did it.

To be honest, I wasn't a brave girl. I still slept with my mother until I was a sixth-grader, because I didn't dare to sleep alone. Last year, one evening after I came back from school, my mom asked me to sleep in my own room. I thought I had grown up, so I should learn to be independent. Though I was frightened at first, I slept in my own room for the first time. I did it. I'm really proud of myself! This is the bravest thing I have ever done.

I didn't dare to ride the roller coaster all the time. I thought it was a terrible thing. However, my friend asked me to try it when we were in Disneyland, in Hong Kong last year. I decided to take a try. It took off so fast. It was a cool feeling, like you were flying! That was extremely good fun. Someone once said, "Life is a roller coaster ride, tighten your seat belts, enjoy the journey, remember the up always has a down." That is right. I have fallen in love with the roller coaster.
