    Gardening is popular in many parts of the world. It brings us sweet smelling flowers, fresh fruit and vegetables. But you can get more from your garden.

    Gardening helps to keep healthy. Today's people sit indoors for too long and don't get much exercise. When you garden, you have to move around. It's a good chance for you to exercise your body by watering flowers or doing some digging. Besides, when you are in your garden, you can feel the warm sunshine. This means you are getting Vitamin D. It helps your bodies use calcium (钙), which is necessary to keep your bones (骨骼) strong.

    It gets them off computers, televisions and phones. Gardening can be a great teacher to teach children about nature and healthy eating. It can also help them to understand the meaning of “No pains, no gains.”

    Gardening is a great way to meet people and build relationships. When you are gardening, you are outdoors. So it is a perfect time to communicate with your neighbors. Most people love to talk about their hobbies, and so do gardeners. They usually enjoy showing people what they are growing. And most enjoy sharing advice and stories about their gardens.

    China's first artificial intelligence (AI) textbook series designed for primary and secondary school students is expected to be introduced into hundreds of campuses across the country in 2019. The textbooks will be used for elective courses or as part of school﹣based curriculums.

    Significant progress is being reported in China in AI technological research and development, with authorities now moving to promote AI﹣related education.

    According to the publisher, East China Normal University Press, the series will have 10 volumes, with six volumes published so far. Each has its own theme, with 12 to 14 main chapters and 2 to 4 chapters of activities. This series covers the educational demands of students from primary school to high school on AI and provides a systematic framework of AI knowledge.

    The books have been used in three schools in Shanghai as a pilot program and well received by students, according to Wang Jiqing, chief editor of the series.

    When you get your report card there will be a grade for P.E.. Your parents will see how good you are a{#blank#}4{#/blank#} push-ups, as well as maths. But the grade for P.E. doesn't affect (影响) your chances of g{#blank#}5{#/blank#} into a good school.

Every month, Zhang Lingling holds a party with her friends in a KTV room. At the party, all the people wear hanfu—a type of dress worn by the ancient Han people—and sing songs that are accompanied (伴奏) by traditional instruments or inspired by ancient poems.

"I'm really interested in clothes and songs based on traditional culture. I'm not buying the items just because they are Chinese—they just satisfy my aesthetic (审美的) needs," she told China Daily.

Like Zhang, there are many young people who have a passion for traditional Chinese culture. Looking for the reason behind this fascination with traditional culture, a professor Ji Fangfang said it's because traditional culture is the best way for young people to distinguish (区分) their national identity. They want to tell the world who they are. 

"Younger people know the world well through the Internet, and they need to express their uniqueness," Ji said.

While some prefer inheriting (传承) traditional Chinese culture, others are putting twists on it. Pop culture designer Yu Yang is one of them. When he made a series of products featuring the ancient God of Fortune, the god wore fashionable Chinese shoes and a cap, and had a microphone in his hand. "Pop culture is a universal language. I hoped more people would accept and love my work and know Chinese culture through my art pieces," he said in an interview.

Every year there is the Spring Festival in China. Usually it is in January or February. It's the{#blank#}1{#/blank#} important festival in China. So before it comes, everyone has to {#blank#}2{#/blank#} many things. They buy beef, chicken, fruit {#blank#}3{#/blank#} many other things. And they often make a special kind of food— jiaozi. All the family members will come back to have a great family dinner {#blank#}4{#/blank#}. They sing, dance and play cards. When they enjoy the {#blank#}5{#/blank#}, they give each other the best wishes for the coming year. They all have a good time.

Education departments in several provinces have said that students should not be punished for not finishing summer holiday homework.Hefei required schools to give a "summer homework deferral period （缓交期）"，allowing for homework to be handed in within two weeks of the start of the school year.What do you think of the"summer homework deferral period"？

I think it's a good way to lower students' pressure.I believe most of the students who put off their homework in the last few days have their reasons for doing so.On the one hand，students today have many more things to do，like after﹣school classes，students sometimes procrastinate （拖延） under the huge pressure of classes and homework.Sometimes they just need more time to finish their homework.
