We {#blank#}1{#/blank#} the oven (烤箱) from the spaceship when my sister said she was hungry. So we went to have a snack. The smell of food in the restaurant also made me {#blank#}2{#/blank#} hungry, so we had a piece of pizza. While we were eating the pizza, my sister was attracted to the {#blank#}3{#/blank#}, so we bought some. Don't worry! We have left some for you. You {#blank#}4{#/blank#} them! They look like rockets and taste like honey.

After lunch, we explored more of the museum and stayed there {#blank#}5{#/blank#} the rest of the day. They were turning off the lights when we left!

It was a fine summer afternoon. Sam was going home from school. He walked along the road slowly, reading a book. Sam had spent all his money on the book. He liked it very much. When he came to the high road, there was a blind man, holding out his hat. The poor man said, "I haven't eaten anything since yesterday. Please give me some money. I want to buy some bread." But Sam had nothing to give. So, he just walked on, feeling very sad.

Soon after, a fine carriage(马车) came up, and in it were Harry and his mother. The blind man still stood there and held out his hat. "Let us give the poor man something," said Harry to his mom. His mother found some coins in her bag and passed them to him. However, Harry did not put them into the man's hat. He threw them into the bush (灌木丛) beside the poor man. How could the blind man find them?

As Sam turned back to look at the fine carriage, he saw Harry throwing the coins into the bush. So he walked back at once and helped look for the money until he found all the coins.

As the blind man held the coins, he smiled. It touched Sam's heart. At that moment, Sam knew that kindness wasn't always about big actions; sometimes, it was the simple act of giving a helping hand that could make a difference.

Every year, on January 5th, the city of Harbin in northeast China changes into a winter wonder- land. Tourists from all around the world come to visit this wonderful ice and snow festival. 

The festival started in 1963 and began as a winter party. The festival often lasts for one month. However, if the weather stays cold and dry, it will go on for a few more days. Temperatures are usually very cold. They can go down to –17℃. 

Ice sculptors (雕塑家) use different tools to carve (雕刻) the hard ice and snow. These sculptors display (展示) their works in two main areas. "Sun Island" has huge snow sculptures (雕塑) of people and animals. "Ice and snow World" has sculptures of buildings. At night, these buildings light up with colorful lights. 

Visitors can do a lot of other activities, such as skiing and ice sliding. They can also go swimming in the icy waters of Songhua River. 

Emily was preparing for her school's International Day, where each student had to present their country's traditions. Though she had plenty of {#blank#}1{#/blank#} (知识) about her culture, public speaking made her nervous. To{#blank#}2{#/blank#} (避免) making mistakes, she practiced her speech at home and {#blank#}3{#/blank#} (重复) it over and over until she felt confident.

On the day of the event, Emily wore a traditional cotton{#blank#}4{#/blank#} (衬衫), and as she walked onto the stage (舞台), she took {#blank#}5{#/blank#} (自豪) in representing her country's traditions. The audience, seated on the {#blank#}6{#/blank#} (草), listened eagerly. With a deep breath, Emily began her presentation. Her {#blank#}7{#/blank#} (声音) was clear, and she delivered her speech{#blank#}8{#/blank#} (确切) as she had practiced. The nerves that once troubled her faded away. Her classmates and teacher watched with great interest, impressed by her calm confidence.

Afterward, her teacher {#blank#}9{#/blank#} (礼貌) congratulated her, and the event concluded with the release of colorful {#blank#}10{#/blank#} (气球) into the sky, marking a perfect ending to a day of celebration and learning.

I'm Li Hui. I'm 13 and I 1 at Red Star Middle School. Here is the layout（布局） of my school. 

After you walk into the school, you can 2 a classroom building. There are some 3 things in these classrooms. For example（例如），every classroom has a 4 blackboard. Teachers can write on it with a special pen. There is also a 5 in every classroom. Students can take books from the bookcase to read. 

Our school sports field is behind the classroom building. It is a 6 open space. Students have PE classes and sports meetings there. 

The new sports center（中心）is on the right of the sports field. It is a 7 building with a gym and some other new sports facilities（设施）. There＇s also a big 8 . Students can 9 the information about some sports games. The center is beautiful 10 many students love to play sports there. 

11 school library is in front of the sports center. It is a quiet place for students to 12 and study. The building on the left of the classroom building is theatre and music hall. It has classrooms 13 art and music classes. There are also teachers' 14 in this building. They work there. Our school' 15 hall is beside the art and music hall. It is a clean place. Students have lunch there.
