I was invited to attend a presentation at the Kentucky School. That evening I found gratitude had amazing 1 to change our attitude and our life.

    The young musician Mr. Patrick was rolled onto the stage in his wheelchair and began to play the piano. His fingers danced across the keys as he 2 beautiful music. He then began to sing as he played, and it was wonderful. But what shocked me most was his magic smile.

    Patrick was born with no eyes and an illness in the legs, which3 him lame for life. However, as a child, he was 4 with artificial eyes and placed in a wheelchair. Before his first note, he discovered the piano. When his mom hit any note on the piano, and within one or two 5, he'd get it. By his second birthday, he was playing "Twinkle, Twinkle, Little Star". His father was overjoyed. "We might not play baseball, but we can play music together."

    When Patrick was at the University of Louisville, his father 6 classes with him. He was also a part of the 214-member marching band! He was a blind, wheelchair-bound trumpet player; and he and his father did it together. His father 7the night shift（夜班）in order to accompany his daytime band practice. Patrick says, "My dad's my hero."

    But even more than his unbelievable musical talent, it was Patrick's "attitude of gratitude" that touch my soul. On stage, between songs, he talked to the audience about his life and about how 8 he was with a great father. When his performance was over, Patrick and his father were on the stage together. The crowd rose to their feet and cheered for over five minutes.

    We all face misfortune in our lives.9 ， it's not the hardship but how we react to it that will determine the joy and happiness in our lives. During tough times, do we spend too much time feeling10 for ourselves, or can we, with gratitude, learn how to dance in the rain?

    At Friday, my students and I went to a talk on health at health club. We went there by bus.

    We listened to the 1 for more than two hours. There, the students learned how to eat and exercise. Everyone 2 they learned a lot. At about twelve, we had some delicious food in the restaurant of the 3. After lunch, it started to rain. We had to get on the 4. Merry Christmas! Christmas is a {#blank#}1{#/blank#}(wonder) time to spend with all the family. Beautiful decorations (装 饰 物) are everywhere, merry songs {#blank#}2{#/blank#}(play) and the smell of turkey fills the air. When I was little, I always couldn't wait {#blank#}3{#/blank#} Christmas! We would put our decorations up in November. The trees, snowmen and stockings {#blank#}4{#/blank#}(fill) with candies. We would watch Christmas {#blank#}5{#/blank#}(movie), sing Christmas songs and eat mince pies(百果馅饼). But one of my favorite things to do was special to my hometown—I went on the Thomas the Tank Engine Steam train {#blank#}6{#/blank#} met Father Christmas! He would walk down the carriages and hand out candies and toys to all the {#blank#}7{#/blank#}(child). Father Christmas comes down the chimney (烟囱) on Christmas Eve to give everyone a surprise. That sounds like a magical story. {#blank#}8{#/blank#}(express) our thanks, we leave some cookies and milk for him. {#blank#}9{#/blank#} next morning, the cookies and the milk have gone. And all the presents are under the Christmas tree! We' re all together and enjoy {#blank#}10{#/blank#}(our). It's a really fantastic time!

One day, a little boy asked his father, "What does the word "great' mean? Who are great people and 1 do they become great?"

The father asked his son to bring two plants and then told him to plant one of them2 the house and the other outside the house. The boy did as his father said.

Traffic police in Wuhan，Hubei Province，have finished the wish of a sick 5﹣year﹣old girl. They1 her to be a traffic officer for a day. 

Liu Yihan was diagnosed（诊断） with a rare（罕见的） cancer that chiefly affects children under the age of 52 her wish to keep everyone safe. Liu never complains to her mother Hu Yuting，but her wish to be a traffic officer really 3 her mother's heart. 

"I hope her dream is strong enough to get her through treatment，which will be 4 ，" u said. When she told her daughter's story to the traffic police brigade in Qiaokou District，the community where the family lives，they were moved and 5 to help Liu's wish come true.

Chinese schools often have parents' meetings. They help1 know about their children's school work. 

In our school，the parents' meeting is on the first 2 afternoon of a new school year. The next day is weekend， 3 teachers and parents have enough time to have a good talk. The meeting starts at 6：00 p. m. and most parents can come to school after 4 . 

On parents' evenings，teachers talk 5 parents. Teachers meet one or two of the parents at a time（一次）. These meetings are very short，maybe five or ten6 . These face﹣to﹣face talks are very7 for teachers，parents and students. In our school，students can listen to the talks. They can sit near their parents.  8 do you feel when you hear your teachers and parents talk about you？I really feel 9 ，because I am good at all my 10 .
