Little Peter is nine years old. And now he is in Grade Three. He lives not far from the school but he is often late for class. He likes watching TV in the evening and goes to bed late, so he can't get up early in the morning. This term, Mrs Black, Peter's aunt, works in Peter's school. She asks Peter to come to school earlier. This morning, Peter got up late again. When he ran to school, it was eight thirty. His aunt was waiting for him at the school gate.

“You are thirty minutes late for the first class. Peter. ”Mrs Black said unhappily. “Why are you often late?”“Every time I get to the street, I always see a sign. It says‘SCHOOL—GOSLOW' ”Peter answered.

    Orville Wright and Wilbur Wright are brothers. Their job is to mend bicycles. In their spare time, they like inventing things. One day, they are watching some birds flying in the sky .They want to fly in the sky, too. They think they should invent a flying machine, so they can fly in the sky too. But it's a hard work to invent a flying machine. They work very hard. First, they watch how the birds fly. Next, they draw a picture of a flying machine. Then they build the machine, it is heavy and ugly, the machine can't fly to the sky. So they work again and make it lighter. Finally, they make the first plane in the world, though the plane only flies in the sky for twelve seconds.

    Last month, there was a one-hundred-metre race. Ten boys ran in the race. Here are their results:

    The sun, the moon and the stars are all in the sky. We can see the sun in the daytime(白天). We can see the moon and the stars at night.

    The sun is much bigger than the moon. It gives us light and heat(光和热).

    The moon looks bigger than the stars, because it is much nearer to the Earth. The light of the moon comes from the sun.

    The stars look smaller than the sun and the moon. But most of the stars are bigger than the sun. They look small because they are very far away from（远离) us.

Dear Bill,

    I like my new school. We have five PE classes and three science classes a week. They are my favourite classes.

    Tuesday is my favourite day. We have maths, Chinese, PE and science on Tuesday.

    Sarah went to Shanghai with her parents over the summer vacation. They went there by plane. On Monday afternoon, they went to a beautiful beach. The weather was sunny and hot. So they had a great time in the water. In the evening, they went to a shopping center but it was too crowded. They didn't enjoy themselves. On Tuesday they took a visit to a museum. It was so boring. It was windy and rainy on Wednesday and Thursday, so they stayed at the hotel for two days. On Friday they went to a zoo and saw many animals. It was really fun. And then they came back home by train.
