Canberra is {#blank#}1{#/blank#}capital of Australia. It is a modern and lively city with a population {#blank#}2{#/blank#}403, 468.

    History Canberra is the eighth largest city in Australia. It is about 238 km from Sydney and 507 km from Melbourne. Sydney is {#blank#}3{#/blank#}(big) than Canberra. People in Sydney wished to make their city the capital. It was difficult for the government {#blank#}4{#/blank#}(make) the decision. Then the government chose a place to build the new capital. It was between Sydney {#blank#}5{#/blank#}Melbourne, the two largest cities. In 1927, the city was set up. It became the capital and was named Canberra. "Canberra" {#blank#}6{#/blank#}(mean) "a place to get together".

    Culture Canberra is a beautiful city {#blank#}7{#/blank#}trees and flowers everywhere. There's a Flower Festival in September each year. People can enjoy all {#blank#}8{#/blank#}(kind) of beautiful flowers and welcome the spring to arrive .The man-made Lake Burley Griffin is in the centre of the city. It's about 11 km long. People like to ride bikes, walk or run around the lake. In Canberra, there're many famous {#blank#}9{#/blank#}(university) like the Australian National University and the University of Canberra. The National library and the National Museum of Australia are also famous{#blank#}10{#/blank#}(place) that people like to visit.

Sally is an American girl. She studies in a{#blank#}1{#/blank#}in Beijing. She enjoys staying here and she likes Chinese food best. 

In fact, most Chinese food in America can be traced back to（追溯到）Guangdong. In the early 20th century, {#blank#}2{#/blank#}of Chinese came to America from Guangdong to look for jobs. They {#blank#}3{#/blank#}in some places like San Francisco. Of course, they brought {#blank#}4{#/blank#}dishes. But later they changed their dishes a lot to meet American tastes. 

When Sally goes home for holidays, her friends often ask her about Chinese food. She always tells them about mutton and carrot dumplings {#blank#}5{#/blank#}they are Sally's favorite food. She learned {#blank#}6{#/blank#} a Chinese friend. Now she would like to {#blank#}7{#/blank#}it with her American friends. First, cut up{#blank#}8{#/blank#}and carrots, and put them in a bowl. Then, add a little oil and salt to them and {#blank#}9{#/blank#} them. When the filling（馅料）is{#blank#}10{#/blank#}, put one spoon of the filling on a dumpling wrapper（饺子皮）and fold it over. Finally, boil（煮）them in a pot for a few minutes. Now you can enjoy some delicious dumplings! 

I have always been interested in the animal world. Recently, I read a book about animals called A Lion's Travelling. Chinese writer Shen Shixi wrote it.

The book tells the story of five lions. After they are made to leave their home, one is hurt by a giraffe. Another is killed by a hunter. The third one dies during a fight for water. The fourth lion dies in the river. Only the youngest one, named Red Ribbon, is still alive. After going through many difficulties, he finally becomes the lion king.

The story shows the love and care between friends, the life and death faced by brothers, the determination (决心) to deal with challenges. The fact that the young lion finally becomes the king teaches me a great lesson: Those experiences of going through difficulties will make us stronger. Everyone will face lots of difficulties during their lifetime. We should learn to stay strong and keep finding our better selves.

The book is full of something exciting about the life of lions. Together with lovely pictures, it gives readers a wonderful experience. If you want to read the great story and learn a lot about the animals in the real world, choose it!
