I read a story last night and found it very inspiring. Now, I'd like to share it with you.

A group of frogs were travelling through the woods.1 , two of them fell into a deep hole. When the other frogs saw how deep the hole was, they told the two frogs just to2 . But the two frogs didn't believe it. They tried to jump out of the3 with their own efforts. The other frogs kept telling them to4 trying and to wait for death. Finally, one of the two frogs gave up and fell down. Soon he died.5 frog continued to jump as hard as he could. Once again, the crowd of frogs shouted at him and told him to stop and just to wait to die. But he jumped even harder, and finally, he6 it.

Do you know7 the frog didn't give up? Because the frog was8 . He couldn't hear what the other frogs were saying. He thought they were all encouraging9 .

What lesson can you learn from this story? If you ask me, I will tell you that after reading this story, I decide to10 others when they are in trouble.

I recently learned an interesting lesson about the power of 2 . It was a story about two friends—a Canadian girl named Jessica Stuart and a Japanese girl named Fukue. Stuart's parents got new jobs in Japan and moved there to 3 when she was a child. After Stuart met Fukue at school, they became good friends. Stuart often 4 Fukue from bullies (欺凌弱小者). After one year, Stuart's family moved back home. Stuart and Fukue stayed in 5 by writing letters to each other. 6 , after two years, Fukue's letters stopped coming. Stuart was confused (困惑不解的). Why did the letters stop? She began a long journey to find her 7 friend again. Many years later, she found Fukue. Both girls were adults by then. It 8 that Fukue dropped out of school because she was bullied again. That happened after Stuart 9 . Luckily, they were able to find each other again, 10 after many years apart. 

Not every friendship can last forever. People come and go. But true friends can find a way to stay together forever—even if they've been far apart for a long time. 

When children read to Danny, he never stops them or corrects them. He just sits quietly and listens patiently. Danny is a "listening1 ". He is part óf a reading program for children. The name of the program is R.E.A.D.

This program helps2 children's reading and communication skills in a special way -' reading to dogs, but not any dog. R.E.A.D. dogs are therapy animals (治疗动物). " We all know that learning to read well is very3 . Teachers always ask children to read aloud.4 reading aloud in class is very difficult for some children. They are afraid that other children will5 them," says Danny' S trainer, Tony Nevett. But a listening dog like Danny won't make fun of them. The children will feel safe.It's also fun for them. They even start to6 reading aloud. As a result, their reading gets better.

This program7 helps the dogs. Many of them live in dog shelters and need a home. After some8 , the dogs learn to be comfortable with people they don' t know. This helps them to be9 for adoption (收养）.

The R. E.A.D. program started in the USA."We have many success stories," says Tony. He hopes the program will spread to more places. Children who10 the program learn to love reading. This helps them succeed in school.

The first International Basketball Expo（IBE）（国际篮球博览会） is from November 8th to 12th，2023，in Fujian. In the Basketball Expo，we can see great love for the sport. 

Song Yihong loves basketball very much. He is 11 years old now. He plays basketball for 6 years. At first，he does this sport because he wants to be tall（高的）. "I'm too short. I'm not happy about that. And my mother wants me to keep healthy，so I play basketball. "He plays basketball every Thursday and Friday evening，and also Sunday afternoon. 

At first，he finds it difficult but now he thinks it interesting and useful. He thanks his P. E. teacher and friends very much because they give him much help. He thinks he is ready（准备好的） to meet difficult things because basketball helps him to be strong（强壮的）. 

"I know many students love basketball too，but they think it's not easy. Don't be afraid（害怕的）. Just play and you can have fun!"

Let me introduce my sister Jenny to you. Jenny is {#blank#}1{#/blank#}eleven﹣year﹣old student from Beijing. She gets up early in the morning. She {#blank#}2{#/blank#} （have） breakfast at home. After breakfast，she walks to the bus stop {#blank#}3{#/blank#} （take） a bus. Jenny is never late for school. She likes school and works hard. There {#blank#}4{#/blank#}（be） four classes in the morning and two in the afternoon. Jenny is good at learning all the subjects，and she likes English best. Jenny usually has dinner at school {#blank#}5{#/blank#}goes home at six in the evening. She arrives home {#blank#}6{#/blank#}（happy） every day. After supper she usually practises {#blank#}7{#/blank#} （dance） for an hour. Her dream is to be a dancer {#blank#}8{#/blank#} Yang Liping in the future. 

I love my sister. Jenney is such a warm and {#blank#}9{#/blank#} （friend） girl. {#blank#}10{#/blank#}I need help，she is always there for me. Jenny is going to have her twelfth birthday. I want to give her a surprise and tell her that it is lucky for me to have such a good sister. 

I used to love games. I would spend hours {#blank#}1{#/blank#} on my phone. I used to love going out partying. It was so much fun and I did it every week. But how could I study the next morning after only four{#blank#}2{#/blank#} sleep? It seemed that I{#blank#}3{#/blank#} could't stay focused(注意力集中的) in class.

 At the age of 21, I started to feel {#blank#}4{#/blank#} because my grades were terrible! I feared to have a future without a good job and without enough money. I realized I had nobody to turn to for {#blank#}5{#/blank#} if I didn't get my degree(学位). So I decided to study hard. Finally, I finished my degree with top {#blank#}6{#/blank#} and new-found confidence(自信). Below is some of what I did.

●I went to bed early, no {#blank#}7{#/blank#} than 10:30 p. m. That helped me remember things well.

●I found three favorite study places. They were comfortable and quiet. Going {#blank#}8{#/blank#} different places made me feel fresh.

●{#blank#}9{#/blank#} studying, I turned my phone off and put it away.

●I made my weekly study plans and stuck to(坚持){#blank#}10{#/blank#}. These plans were achievable and gave me confidence to move on.
