Today is {#blank#}1{#/blank#} and hot. The temperature(温度) is about 39.5℃.My friends and I {#blank#}2{#/blank#}to the beach because we think it's an {#blank#}3{#/blank#} place in summer. There are lots of people on the beach. They {#blank#}4{#/blank#} a great time. Look at those people over there. They are {#blank#}5{#/blank#} beach volleyball. Some boys are lying(躺) {#blank#}6{#/blank#} the beach and talking. They are very {#blank#}7{#/blank#}. Look at that woman. She {#blank#}8{#/blank#} photos. Her camera is new. There are also many people swimming {#blank#}9{#/blank#} the sea, and they look very happy. We want {#blank#}10{#/blank#}, too.

It took five tries and forty years for Xia Boyu, an amazing climber, to get to the top of the world.

On his first Qomolangma try in 1975, Xia got frostbite(冻疮) and had to have his feet—and later legs—amputated (截肢).

Xia went back again in 2014, 2015 and 2016. On that last try a strong snowstorm forced him to turn back less than 100 meters from the top.

"It's been a dream of mine for more than 40 years," Xia said. In 2018 Xia finally realized his dream, making him the first Chinese double amputee to summit(登顶) Qomolangma. "This time after 43 years, Qomolangma accepted me, finally," he said.

"Climbing the highest mountain in the world with prosthetics (假体) adds another level of difficulty, because it is difficult to feel the ground. Whatever you are standing on, what kind of roads you walk on, whether it is good or bad, they do not give you any feelings. You have to learn it day-to-day, to find the feeling," said Xia. He also said he had to use his body to keep balance as prosthetics cannot walk up and down like real legs. "I have to be stronger than others," he added.

"I have learned from my journey to the top that you should move forward bravely no matter what conditions you face. Never give up on your dream," said Xia.

Once upon a time, there was a soldier. He was brave and strong. But he was not as1 as he thought. One day, he met a blacksmith (铁匠). The blacksmith talked to the soldier about his2 . He told the soldier that his talents were very 3 . He could not only make die best armor (盔甲) but also make it magic as well.

Qian Xuesen was a pioneer in the development of China＇s aerospace（航空航天）science and technology. He was called the "father of China's aerospace" and "king of rockets". He was also one of the most famous {#blank#}1{#/blank#}, (scientist) in the world. 

Qian was born in Shanghai {#blank#}2{#/blank#}11 December 1911. After graduating from Shanghai Jiao Tong University, he went to America for {#blank#}3{#/blank#}(far) study. After this, he spent many years {#blank#}4{#/blank#}teach) and doing research work at universities in the USA. And he made excellent achievements in America. {#blank#}5{#/blank#}, his heart was always with his motherland. In 1955, he finally returned to China with his family. 

After returning to China, Qian led his team to overcome a series of difficulties and achieved many historic achievements. Qian worked with{#blank#}6{#/blank#}(thousand) of other scientists on China's "two bombs，one star＂ nuclear program（"两弹一星"核项目）. They created the atom bomb（原子弹）and later the hydrogen bomb（氢弹）{#blank#}7{#/blank#}（success）. They managed to complete this project in the fastest time in history. 

Qian devoted{#blank#}8{#/blank#}(he) whole life to China's aerospace industry. He wanted to use his knowledge {#blank#}9{#/blank#}(build) a stronger China. He often says that science {#blank#}10{#/blank#}(have) no boundaries（边界），but scientists have their motherlands. 

There are many stories of rich people who were poor but worked hard to be{#blank#}1{#/blank#}(成功). Many of them keep their money to themselves or share it just with their family together. But one man called Sarath Babu is {#blank#}2{#/blank#} (计划) to use his money to help poor people. And he set a good{#blank#}3{#/blank#} (榜样)for us. 

When Sarath Babu was young , he lived in the slum (贫民窟) of India with his mother. His family had{#blank#}4{#/blank#}（几乎）nothing at that time, but his mother took the education{#blank#}5{#/blank#} (认真) . At school, he was a {#blank#}6{#/blank#}(辛勤的) student and always got good {#blank#}7{#/blank#}(成绩). Then he went to university. After he finished university, he started his own restaurant called Food King. {#blank#}8{#/blank#} (虽然) it was difficult at the beginning , he never gave up. One of the main {#blank#}9{#/blank#} (理由) why he can succeed finally is that he sold healthy food cheaply. Many people came to his restaurant. Sarath hired(雇佣) people from the slum to work at his restaurant. He wanted to give them a better life than before. 

Now, he has seven restaurants that are doing very well, and has 250 workers. Some day he hopes to have more restaurants and give people the best{#blank#}10{#/blank#}(服务).
