As a student, what does it mean " to be good"? TheCode of Conduct for Primary and Middle School Students (《中小学生守则》) holds the answer.

    Last year, a new draft (草案) code came{#blank#}1{#/blank#}, replacing the old content. There are some important {#blank#}2{#/blank#}. Big phrases like"have deep love for your motherland, the people and the Communist Party of China" are not there anymore. The new code tells students to respect the national flag and national emblem (国徽){#blank#}3{#/blank#}. It also {#blank#}4{#/blank#}students to "know about China's history".

    Also, the new code asks students to "lead alow-carbon (低碳的){#blank#}5{#/blank#}"，"takepart in voluntary work"， and "control the time you spend online". The change on brave actions {#blank#}6{#/blank#}draws attention. The old code told students to act bravely when they saw people {#blank#}7{#/blank#}rules. But the new code asks students to learn to protect {#blank#}8{#/blank#}and ask for help.

    Many teachers are {#blank#}9{#/blank#}to see these changes. Students say they know{#blank#}10{#/blank#}to do when they face some problems.

    Mark is my brother's good friend．He is a student in a{#blank#}1{#/blank#}school．He is clever．When he was six，he{#blank#}2{#/blank#}to go to school．At school he is good at all his subjects．He can speak two{#blank#}3{#/blank#}，Chinese and English．And he speaks them very well．He likes making {#blank#}4{#/blank#}．And he likes flying them．One week ago， he，my brother and I went{#blank#}5{#/blank#}in the mountains．That day we had a great time there．

    A kind of little cars may some day take the place of today's big ones. People will like this kind of small cars more and more.     If everyone drives such a car in the future, there will be less {#blank#}3{#/blank#}in the air. Three such cars can fit in the space now needed for one car of the {#blank#}5{#/blank#}size.

    The little cars of the future will cost much less {#blank#}6{#/blank#} to own and to drive. And they can go only 65 kilometers an hour, so driving will be safer, too.

    The cars of the future will be fine for {#blank#}7{#/blank#} around a city, but they will not be useful for a long trip.

    This kind of cars can save a lot of gasoline( 汽油 ). They will go 450 kilometers {#blank#}8{#/blank#} needing to stop for more gasoline.

    If big cars are still used along with the small {#blank#}9{#/blank#} , two sets of roads will be needed in the future. Some roads will be needed for the big, faster cars and other roads will be needed for the small, {#blank#}10{#/blank#} cars.
